Data for at 4980 District 58 Students

● For planning purposes the 773 students for whom we did not have a response have been placed in the onsite option.

● On Tuesday, the District will email all 4980 families confirming the option we have on record for their child

● This step will provide families with the opportunity to correct any errors as we build class rosters for onsite learning and the Online Academy

● The next three slides are inclusive of all 4980 DG58 students

Start and End TimesOnsite:

Considerations:● Transportation - shared buses with District 99● Staggered arrival and dismissal plans developed at the building level● Overall length of onsite time for students without serving a meal

Online Academy● Instructional Day will be completed between 8:15 am - 2:30 pm● Specific student schedules (including synchronous vs. asynchronous times) are under

development

Transition Days● Published times for grades 1-6● Preschool & Kindergarten - awaiting teacher input on final structure

for limiting the number of individuals in given space)

● Childcare/Request for FFCRA leave days - full days and half days (7 requests for more information, 1 request approved)

● Staff members - Personal choices (1), choose to keep children home from school although school is offering onsite instruction

Updated Guidance/Clarification from IDPH and DCHD

● IDPH○ Emergency rules are being proposed that give local

health departments the authority to shut schools down in the event of an emergency (vote is tomorrow)

○ We have been told that FAQs and clarifications will come this week

● DCHD○ Seeking the specific metric that it will use to determine

when a school or district will be shut down○ Seeking clarification on exclusion guidance

Moving Forward

● No changes to the recommendation at this time○ Guidance has not changed from ISBE, IDPH, or the DCHD○ Constant communication with DuPage County superintendents

and the DCHD○ Monitoring the situation (i.e. districts that will open soon)

■ To date, 13 of 44 districts are going fully remote in DuPage (source: DuPage ROE)

● Further guidance/clarification could change a recommendation○ New information is constantly coming out○ The District is actively seeking clarification○ Flexibility is key○ We may be forced to pivot
