12.KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

I have count over 09 years experience in constructions of Road, Infrastructures and Buildings.

Out of this over 04 years have been as a Material Engineer (QC Engineer) in Sri Lanka. My experience with all aspects of constructions and quality control in Road and Infrastructure. And also setting up and operation of a field laboratory and training of personnel. And also I have good knowledge and experience includes design of cement and asphalt concrete mix, control the production quality of concrete and asphalt plant, site quality control plan for concrete and asphalt pavement, control the quality and production of metal quarry and crusher, control pre cast products and post tensioning beams.

In addition have more 02 years experience in construction of bitumen macadam Road and road structures with Bridges as an Engineer in the Road Development Department.

And also have over 03 years good experience in all type of constructions works in single and story buildings as a Site Engineer in the International Organization of United Nation Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

In my experience, I familiarised to use the BS, ASTM, AASHTO, SLS, RDA and Building Standards.

12. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES:

Pro-Poor Eastern Infrastructure Development Project: Engineering Consultants Limited-(JICA Funded)

Material Engineer: from11th August 2008 to date.

Working as a Material Engineer (Consultant) for quality control work under quality assurance plan in Engineering Consultants Limited (Srilanka) associate with Oriental Consultants and Nippon Koei Co.Ltd (Japan). Duties assigned for ensure the quality of materials in the flowing construction works.

Successfully completed class A, 100 Km asphalt concrete road the width of 10m two lanes, 20m four lanes from Akkaraipattu to Batticaloa (A04) and Batticaloa to Tirikandiamadu (A15) including 148 Nos. new culvert structures and 10 Nos. new small Bridges. The value of this project is nearly SLR 3.8 Billion.

The construction of New Kallady Bridge is going on in Batticaloa and Total 289m length with 48.05m span and 14m width two lanes finishing with asphalt wearing course including side walk 1.8m, cycle lane 1.5m. And also total 54 Nos. of 48m length post tension box beam. The estimated value of the project is nearly SLR 813.5 Million.

Site Engineer: from Apr 2008 to Aug 2008 The above rehabilitation project is including 90 houses funded by SOLIDAR for

tsunami affected area in Vaharai. The total value of this project is 100 million. Duties include the co-ordination of all type of construction work with Technical officers and sub contractors, planning and preparing work program, arrange the construction work, preparing materials requirements as per the BOQ, supervise the construction and take the measurements at site, preparation of bill of quantity for the Payment, ensure the quality of works and materials. In addition, the monthly progress report to Area Manager.

School Building Construction: UNOPS. Site Engineer: from Dec 2006 to Apr 2008

Completed of the new school building including two stories, single story, auditorium and teacher quarters with wire mesh fence and parapet ball construction for Tsunami affected area in Batticaloa funded by UNICEF and the total value of this Direct Implementation project is nearly SLR 100 Million. Duties include the co-ordination of all type of construction work with Technical officer and sub contractors, planning and preparing work program, arrange the construction work, preparing materials requirement as per the BOQ, supervise the construction and take the measurements at site, preparation of bill of quantity for the Payment, ensure the quality of works and materials. In addition to that prepare the progress report.

Project for Cash for work-Road Construction: UNOPS. Site Engineer: from Jan 2006 to Dec 2006

Completed of the construction of DBST road for tsunami affected area in Batticaloa funded by ILO and the total value of project is nearly SLR 12 Million. Duties assigned coordinate the construction work with work supervisors and community development groups, train the village labors and supervise the work, make the payment directly to labors with support of community development groups, ensure the quality of works, materials and prepare the report.

Project of construction of Health Centers: UNOPS. Site Engineer: from May 2005 to Jan 2006 Completed 03 health centers nearly SLR 20 Million of each for conflict areas in

Batticaloa funded by UNICEF and UNIFA. Duties include the coordination of all type of construction work with contractors, checking the progress with program, approve the materials, preparation of BOQ, supervise the construction and ensure the quality of work.

Duties attended all coordination works with surveying, investigations, planning and checking progress of the works, checking estimations, BOQ preparation and site supervision of Road and Bridge construction with many road structures such as

Gabion wall, Retaining wall, Vended Cause way, Irish drain, Box or Hume pipe culverts and etc. And also I involved in the all type of Road construction materials testing in Laboratory and as well as in the Field.

Under Graduate Training: Foundation and Water well Engineering Pvt.Ltd Colombo: from August 2001- January 2002

I have gathered good knowledge in geo technical investigation and ground water investigation. Study the sample collection methods and laboratory testing methods of disturbed (SPT) samples, rock samples and water samples. In addition, gathered experience in the field testing.
