Respiratory distress due to CCF
• CCF is a physiologic state in which heart cannot pump enough blood to meet the metabolic needs of the body causing pulmonary and venous congestion.
COPD
EMPHYSEMA CHRONICBRONCHITIS COPD
Pneumothorax
• Pneumothorax is the presence of air in the pleural space that prohibits complete lung expansion.
Pleural effusion
• A pleural effusion is an abnormal amount of fluid around the lung.
Pulmonary embolism
• Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a blockage of the main artery of the lung or one of its branches by a substance that has travelled from elsewhere in the body through the bloodstream (embolism).
Hyperventilation syndrome
• Hyperventilation syndrome (HVS; or chronic hyperventilation syndrome or CHVS) is a respiratory disorder, psychologically or physiologically based, involving breathing too deeply or too rapidly.
Pneumonia
• Pneumonia is a inflammatory condition of the lungs, primarily it affects the alveoli.
Croup
• Croup (or laryngotracheobronchitis) is a respiratory condition that is usually triggered by an acute viral infection of the upper airway.
Epiglottitis
