Eye glasses
Many eye doctors have collections for unwanted eye glasses so you can ask your local practice if they will take
them.
You can also donate any prescription glasses that you no longer wish to use to charity organizations. The
glasses will then be distributed to the poor, within your community or in developing countries, who find it
difficult to afford the cost of prescription glasses.
Here are a few charity organizations that accept prescription glasses for redistribution.
OneSight Initiative
You can take your unwanted prescription glasses or sunglasses to Lens Crafters, Pearle, Sears Optical,
Sunglasses Hut or Target Optical store locations throughout New Jersey. The glasses will then be redistributed
to poor communities around the world through the OneSight charity.
The OneSight webpage provides more information on the work they do to improve the quality of life in poor
communities around the world, through the gift of eye glasses.
Use the OneSight zip code search to find the nearest drop off location to where you live.
Lions Club International
Lions Club International is a charity organization that operates in the US and the developing world to support
poor communities. One of their projects involves the collection of eye glasses for redistribution in poor
communities around the world.

following address.

The Bridge is a unique program of support and positive lifestyle enrichment for the adolescent population. The
overall goal of The Bridge is to aid in the healthy development of adolescents. The Bridge differs from other
programs in that it is not crisis-oriented; rather, it addresses the challenges of adolescence, in general. The years
between 13 and 19 present a whole new set of problems, questions, and issues that need to be dealt with by
professionally trained, dedicated, and caring people. This is where The Bridge comes in - it recognizes the
special psychological, social, and spiritual needs of this growing population.
There are two aspects of The Bridge:
