Unpack and Fill Baskets

• Each plastic bag contains one collection of books, theme stickers, and one basket label.

• Plastic baskets are shipped in separate boxes to avoid breakage.

• Find a plastic basket that matches the color of the label found in the plastic bag for each collection.

• Ensure the plastic storage basket is clean and dry prior to applying the label. Apply the label to the front of the basket. Note that the front end of the basket has a wider middle section than the back.

• Place theme stickers on the covers of the books.

• Place the books in the baskets. Be sure to match the theme stickers to the theme printed on the basket label.

Research Labs Genre Studies Collections

• Each class in Grades 2+ should receive 135 books total. Grade 1 classrooms will receive 150 books total.

A classroom library containing 60 Literary Genre Titles and 40 Thematic Informational Titles (100 books total) with theme stickers.

1 collection of Anchor Titles (5 books) for classes in Grades 2+ OR 1 collection of 20 Read Alouds in Grade 1 with theme stickers.

30 Copies of a Central Text with theme stickers.

Program Materials

• Each class will receive one Genre Research Card Set for 30 Students
