1. Workshop Summary

This report provides a brief summary of the A Two-Day Workshop organized by KERG, SKD of Computer

Science and Engineering Department. KERG organized A Two-Day Workshop on “Job opportunities in

the IT Industry and career building in Knowledge Management” on January 20th – 21st 2015 from 10.00

am to 5.00 pm in the Jasmine Hall, C-Block, K L University. The Workshop brought together over 170

Students of CSE B.Tech 2/4, 3/4, 4/4. The lecture was delivered by an eminent resource person Mr. Ravi

Kiran , Director of Knowledge Management, SAP Labs, INDIA. The workshop focused on the preparation

needed by a Computer Science & Engineering graduation during their education period, to obtain

suitable jobs immediately after education without any delay. Facilitators provided awareness on how

the Software Engineers principles are used in real time environment in software companies. A special

emphasis was given on knowledge Management, which is growing rapidly in Indian Job market;

student’s got good insights into how to build the career in Knowledge Management. The KLU Vice

President Mr. RAJA HARIN graced the occasion and wished grand success for the program. Dr.LSS Reddy,

vice-chancellor, Dr. K. Thirupathi Rao, HOD-CSE, Dr. K. Subramanyam, Associate Dean (R&D) and Dr. D.

Rajeswara Rao, RPAC chairman-CSE &group head-Knowledge Engineering had congratulated the

students and wished that students will be completely thoroughed about the IT-Jobs market in India and

abroad after the workshop.
