Problems Faced
The trip was almost on verge on cancelling due to conveyance problems.
The earlier request for two buses (To accommodate 85 people) was not
pondered upon, which resulted in overloading of bus. The students were
still ready to accommodate somehow, but eventually the driver of the bus
ranged up Dean S/W to tell him about the bus state. The Dean straight
away directed to turn away the bus, as no faculty was ready to take on the
responsibility of an overloaded bus. The bus returned to college. Then after
requesting with the authority and floundering our way out of institutes
code of conduct, we finally got a bus. The hardly managed to wheel on for
500 Meters, when it was declared unfit for travelling. Subsequently the trip
was cancelled and both the buses returned to college. It was then, some
students requested to go ahead with the trip. Few students walked out
voluntarily, twelve of the students arranged private conveyance under the
apprehension of being paid by Civil Engineering Association, as it is the
association who is responsible for the mess. Whole of the class agreed to
proposal and we finally made the trip.
More than ninety percent of class found trip enjoyable and the work of
Association members commendable.
The lack of conveyance facility caused vexing, which should be eliminated
in future. Other than that it was an excellent experience for all of us.
