Report International Yoga Day Celebrations at IIIT NagpurIndian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21 st June 2017 to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every participant. Associate Dean, Dr. Ashwin Kothari, Incharge Registrar, Shri Kailash Dhakle, faculty members, staff and the students of IIIT Nagpur participated in the yoga day celebration with enthusiasm. All the participants performed and enjoyed yoga day. Different events were held during International yoga day, activates are Suryanamaskar, Different Asanas, Pranayamas, Meditation, rally regarding awareness of yoga and benefits of yoga & mini marathon in campus. Suryanamaskar & Asanas demonstrated by Health and Sports instructor, Mr. Ravinder Kumar Sagar. Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that needs to be carried out every day by everyone. IIITN students got the chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind and body. Different yoga postures in different posses has been performed and finally ended with Pranayamas and meditation. IIITN students do regular yoga practice as a part of their curriculum. Health and Sports instructor trained students how to do it and educate them about its benefits. A rally has been organized by students and all the staff members in the institute campus to generate awareness about Yoga and its benefits amongst the residents. The celebration of the International Yoga Day ended with the Mini-Marathon.

“International Yoga Day Celebrations at IIIT Nagpur”

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur celebrated the International

every participant. Associate Dean, Dr. Ashwin Kothari, Incharge Registrar, Shri
