Reading levels should be marked for each quarter.

Due to so many individual variances a reading level explanation will not be added to the grade card. These questions are best explained by the classroom teacher to the parent.

English Language LearnersEnglish Language Learners

If a child receives regular accommodations in the classroom in order to access the curriculum the EL box is to be checked. ◦For ELL students – the comment that prints on

the report card will state “This student is an English Learner. The student’s work was accommodated in the classroom to meet his/her level of English Proficiency.”

With the changes that took place on some grade level report cards from quarter 1 to quarter 2, can all quarters be updated to reflect the current and consistent symbols?

In the lower grades there was some confusion on Y and N for science and social studies. Starting 3rd quarter unit names will be removed from the report card in grades K, 1, and 2.
