Benefit-in-kind (BIK) company car tax rates

The amount of Vehicle Excise Duty (Road Fund Licence) payable on new cars varies depending on the level of CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) emissions produced by the vehicle and the type of fuel used. The table below illustrates the 'CO2 banding' and, therefore, the amount of Vehicle Excise Duty payable. These bandings are effective from 1st April 2021 and supersede any previous bandings.

Unlimited mileage for first 24 months, then limited to a total of 60,000 miles or 3 years, (with the exception of ZOE and KOLEOS based on a total of 100,000 miles), whichever comes first. Assistance is provided within the UK & Northern Ireland only at roadside, home and includes national recovery and onward travel.
