• Access JAE-IS with your SingPass or JAE PIN (in Form A)

• Strongly advised to print and retain a copy of the Verification Slip after you have submitted your application online to confirm that your application is successful.

• You can also log in again during the registration period to obtain your verification Slip.

JAE Posting ResultsSection 4

Release of JAE Posting Results (Pg 13)

• First week of February

• Modes of Release:• JAE – Internet System (JAE-IS)

• SMS via applicant’s mobile phone

Acceptance (Pg 13)• JC/MI

• Report to the JC/MI on stipulated date in JAE-IS (usually the next working day)

• Any student who does not report to the JC/MI will be deemed to have forfeitedhis/her place; this place will be made available to other eligible applicants underappeal

• Polytechnic• Receive an enrolment package by end February via postal mail

• Required to complete online enrolment by date stated in package

• Any student who does not complete the online enrolment by the stated date willbe deemed to have forfeited his/her place; this place will be made available toother eligible applicants under appeal

• ITE• Should receive an enrolment letter within 3 working days via postal mail

• Accept course offer online at www.ite.edu.sg by date stated in letter

• Any student who does not accept his/her course offer online by the stated datewill be deemed to have forfeited his/her place; this place will be made availableto other eligible applicants under appeal

Appeal / Transfer (Pg 13-14)

• Unsuccessful applicants to approach institution directly to appeal

• Evaluation on a case-by-case basis

Direct School Admission (DSA) – JC

Early Admissions Exercise(EAE) – Polytechnic

DSA & EAE

DSA – JC

• Students who had accepted offers through the 2019 DSA-JC will be admitted to their chosen JC if they have met the eligibility criteria for admission based on their GCE-O Level exam results.

• Students admitted to a JC through DSA-JC will not be eligible to participate in the JAE

EAE – Polytechnic

• Students who had accepted conditional offers to a poly course through the Poly-EAE and have teir offers confirmed based on their GCE O-Level exam results will not be eligible to participate in the JAE.

• EAE offers are confirmed if the following criteria are met :

a. a net ELR2B2 score of 26 points or better for the GCE

O-Level exam

b. Minimum Entry Requirements for the respective

polytechnic course

Retention at Sec 4E / 5N(A)

Retention at Sec 4E / 5N(A)Sec 4E and Sec 5N students are eligible to repeat their GCE O-Level Examination only if they satisfy all thecriteria below:-

a) i) Obtained no more than 2 GCE O-Level passes and an aggregate of 44 points or less in 5 subjects (excluding CCA bonus points), or

or

ii) Obtained 3 or more GCE O-Level passes but do not qualify for admission to Junior Colleges, Millennia Institute or Polytechnics;

b) i) Will not be more than 4 years overage, for Singapore Citizens/ Permanent Residents (i.e. born on orafter 2 Jan 1999 for Sec 5N students, and born on or after 2 Jan 2000 for Sec 4E students), or

or

ii) Will not be more than 2 years overage, for International Students (i.e. born on or after 2 Jan 2001 forSec 5N students, and born on or after 2 Jan 2002 for Sec 4E students);

c) Had been enrolled in a Government or Government-aided school in 2019; and

d) Sat for the GCE O-Level Examination for the first time in 2019.
