The registration for the competition and the uploading of the recordings

can be done only between 1 - 22 August 2021!

CREATE AN ACCOUNT

This document is intended for TIGF 2021 Online Edition participants and aims to describe the necessary steps to complete the TIGF

Registration Form, as well as some useful information.

❖ In order to participate in the TIGF 2021 Online Edition you need to register as a user on the transilvaniaguitar.ro website.

Therefore, the first step is to create an account by accessing the following link: https://transilvaniaguitar.ro/register or by

clicking on the ONLINE REGISTRATION button.

❖ The account is created by clicking on the "Create Account" button after filling in the specific fields with your name, surname,

email address and a password. Alternatively, you can choose to create this account by linking it to an existing Facebook or

Google account by pressing one of the two buttons with the corresponding symbols.

❖ This step should not be followed by those who already have an account created in the previous edition. In this case select the

option "I already have an account".

FILLING IN THE PERSONAL DATA

❖ A page will open where you must enter the details of your application form. Depending on your browser settings, your

name, surname and email address may already be filled in. The other fields: country, date of birth, phone number and

teacher's name must also be filled in. If a participant has more than one teacher, each of them can be listed, their names

being separated by a comma.

SCANNING AND UPLOADING THE TWO DOCUMENTS

❖ You will also need to scan two other documents, your ID card and the paymanet proof of the competition and/or master class

fees. The two documents must be uploaded in the corresponding fields for each. Accepted file types are: .pdf / .jpg / .jpeg /

.png / .zip / .rar. The image below is a model of a complete upload of the two documents:

❖ This year we have introduced electronic payment as part of the application form. If you choose to pay by PayPal or online by

bank card, please do not fill in the field "Proof of payment of entry fees". The button for online payment will appear on the

"TIGF form" page after registration.

Stipendium recipients for the 19th Edition of TIGF - 2021 Online Edition and/or students of the National Academy of Music

"Gheorghe Dima" - Cluj-Napoca, must only use bank payment if they choose other participation/masterclass sections that are

not included in the stipendium or offered by the student status.

SELECTION OF THE PARTICIPATION SECTIONS

❖ After uploading the electronic copies of the documents, the next step is to select the sections of the TIGF 2021 Online Edition

for which you wish to register. Either or both options, competition and/or master class, can be selected.

REGISTRATION FOR THE COMPETITION

After checking the "solo competition" section, the competition category will be selected. To identify the category corresponding

to the age of the participant, please refer to the "Competition categories" section of the regulations at the link:

https://transilvaniaguitar.ro/festival-regulations.

❖ To participate in another category, fill in the Registration Form again, using the same account already created in the previous

steps (with your email address, Facebook or Google account). It should be noted that only one masterclass package can be

chosen for the festival.

❖ For the registration to one of the first six categories, please fill in the repertoire content in the fields below. If the repertoire for

the competition contains more than three works, the "New line" button can be clicked to get a new free field for completion.

❖ For the 5th category registration, the works in the repertoire must be completed, specifying the stage in which each of them is

presented. New fields can also be added by pressing the "New line" button. Please note that works from the first stage can be

repeated in the second stage. In this case, enough new fields can be created to complete the repertoire of each stage.

REGISTRATION FOR MASTERCLASSES

❖ If the "masterclass courses" section has also been checked, the next step is to select the course package preferences (course

package prices can be found in the festival regulations at the link: https://transilvaniaguitar.ro/festival-regulations , in the section

"Registration for the competition and master classes").

❖ The names of one or more teachers of this edition's courses will also be checked here. For details of their biographies and work,

a list of lecturers can be found at https://transilvaniaguitar.ro/home.

THE NOTES SECTION

❖ In the "notes" section, you can provide other details reagarding your registration, such as:

• Intention to study specifically with a particular teacher in the masterclass courses.

• Holding a stipendium for the 19th Edition of TIGF - 2021 Online Edition which implies no fees situations. In this case, in

the "Payment proof" field, a scanned copy of the stipendium together with the receipt (if applicable) will be uploaded; the

website allows uploading only one proof of payment document, so the two proof documents must be merged into one image

or pdf file.

• Student status at the National Academy of Music "Gheorghe Dima" - Cluj-Napoca which offers exemption from the

masterclass courses fees (in the limit of the available places). In this case, in the "Payment proof" field, a scanned copy of

the student ID card together with the receipt (if applicable) will be uploaded; the website allows uploading only one document

proving payment, so the two documents must be merged in a single image or pdf file.

❖ As a safety feature of the site, the "I am

not a robot" box must be ticked. Then you

can click on the "Preview Registration"

button.

REGISTRATION SUMMARY AND ONLINE PAYMENT

❖ The images below show an example of a completed "Registration Form", wich is a summary of the

information filled in when registering. It is recommended that you check the information in the summary

carefully. If an error is found, click on "Back" to return to the previous page and make the necessary

corrections.

• If you have choosed to pay by bank and you have uploaded a file in the "Payment proof” field, the first

section of your registration summary will look like this:

• If you have choosed the electronic payment via PayPal or bank card and left the "Payment proof" field

empty, now is the time to pay for your participation in the festival. The first section of your registration

summary will look like this:

❖ Clicking the e-payment button will open a new page entitled "Online Payment". In the "Notes" box you will

find the participation options you selected previously. The website has already generated the total amount of

these participation options for the festival. The next step is the actual electronic payment via PayPal or Debit

or Credit Card.

❖ After fixing any errors, pressing the ”Register” button will open another page.

UPLOADING THE VIDEO FILES ❖ One of the most important aspects of the application is the actual performance of the repertoire. This step is for uploading the

.mp4 video files into the corresponding fields.

❖ For any of the first six categories, an .mp4 file corresponding to the category for which the registration is made must be

uploaded. For the 5th category, two .mp4 files must be uploaded, one for each stage of the competition.

❖ Participants can also upload one .mp4 video file for the masterclass. Optionally, contestants may choose to use the file(s) already

uploaded for participation in the competition.

❖ VERY IMPORTANT! The .mp4 video files can be large, so the participants are asked to be careful when uploading them to

the website. After each click on the "Upload video file [...]" buttons the screen will go dark and the message "Your video is

being uploaded. Please stand by and do not close this page.” will appear. It is important to follow the message below. Closing

the page or reloading it will interrupt the transmission of the .mp4 file and the process will have to be restarted.

❖ After the message "File was successfully uploaded" is displayed, you can proceed to upload the next video file (if applicable).

At the end, a green check mark will appear in place of each field where the video files have been uploaded, as in the image

below.

RESOLVING ERRORS IN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS

❖ The following errors may occur during the filling in process of the registration form:

- Error: „The id file / Payment proof file field is required.” In this case,

one or more documents were not loaded in the fields and you can’t go

further.

Solution: Load the file/s and try again.

- Error: „The solo competition category id / masterclass category id field

is required when solo competition / masterclass registration is present.

In this case, one or both category id options were not selected and you

can’t go further.

Solution: Select the option/s and try again.

- Error: „Please upload a mp4 file.” In this case, the video file that you

have loaded is doesn’t match the required format.

Solution: Upload a mp4 file and try again.

❖ If you can’t refill in an information, reselect an option or reload a file you can use the keys combination CTRL+Shift+R to

clear your cache memory and try again.

❖ Taking the steps up to this point marks the success of the registration process for participating in TIGF 2021 Online Edition.
