General Scope

The basic theoretical background to hydraulics in

piping systems and system design and analysis is

covered, including efficient design.

Training makes use of AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow and AFT

Impulse (plus add-on modules) as well as hand

calculations.

A discussion/question/answer format is also employed

in order to maximize retention of course material and

theoretical concepts. Some of the specific topics

Cancellations are accepted in writing and without penalty up to 14 days prior to the start of the training.

Delegates cancelling in writing between 7 and 14 days prior to the start of the training will be liable for25% of the training cost.

Delegates cancelling in writing less than 7 days prior to the start of the training will be liable for 50% of thetraining cost.

Born in Johannesburg in 1961, John Gordon-Smith has been involved

in Pipe Stress Analysis and Hydraulic Analysis work for many years.

He graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1989.

He subsequently attended formal AFT, Caesar II and Autopipe

training and is a beta tester for Intergraph Caesar II.

He is a stress and hydraulic consultant to companies such as

Anglogold Ashanti, BBE, DRA, Goldfields, Hatch, Impala

Platinum, Logichem, RSV, Turgis, TWP, Umgeni Water, Weir and WSP.
