I am very pleased to learn of your interest in Regis College and, more specifically, our athletic programs. We offer 18 men’s and women’s varsity sports, and are home to one of the best all-sport, outdoor playing facilities in all of New England small college athletics.

We take great pride in providing an outstanding intercollegiate athletic experience

for our student-athletes, where they represent Regis in the NCAA’s Division III. As

a member of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), the majority of our teams compete for the league’s

automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament each season and our athletes are consistently honored on All-Conference

and All-Region teams for their athletic achievements. Additionally, they get the support they need to succeed

academically and shine in the classroom. The graduation rates at Regis are regularly among the highest in the

nation among Division III schools.

Field HockeyLed by first-year head coach Nikki Panciocco, the field hockey team seeks to return to the NECC postseason this year. After winning the 2011 NECC Championship, the Pride narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 2012 NECC Semifinals after a fifth place finish in the conference standings.

Men,s Basketball

After a tough non-conference schedule and slow start to the 2012-2013 season, the

Pride came back recharged in January and went on to win

11 of their next 15 regular season games to secure a spot in the NECC playoffs. Despite

entering the tournament as the third seed, the Pride

made it all the way to the program’s first NECC

Championship game.

Women,s

BasketballThe Pride claimed the

program’s first NECC Championship in 2013

after going undefeated in regular season

conference play for the second consecutive

year. Earning the conference’s automatic bid, the Pride appeared in the NCAA Tournament

for the first time since the 1995-1996 season.

TennisBoth the men’s and women’s tennis teams were crowned

NECC Champions last season for the first time in each program’s

history. The men capped an unblemished 10–0 regular season

record in conference play by defeating Mitchell in the finals,

7–2, while the women bested Bay Path, 5–4, in the title match after an impressive 9–1 record in

NECC regular season play.

Softball Regis reached the

NECC first round for the second consecu-

tive year despite a slow start to the

season. Under the leadership of first-

year head coach Nikki Panciocco, the Pride looks to make their

mark in the upcoming 2014 season.

Men,s Soccer

Regis enters the 2013 season after completing the program’s most successful campaign last year, which included a team-best eight wins. Highlights included a 1–0 victory over Daniel Webster in the NECC first round, which was the Pride’s first-ever postseason win, and an appearance in the NECC Semifinals.

Track & FieldUnder the guidance of first-year head coach Dan Flynn, both the men’s and women’s programs had successful indoor and outdoor seasons in 2012-2013. Pride athletes qualified for the D3 New England Outdoor Championships, NEICAAA Championships, and ECAC Outdoor Championship.

Cross CountryCross country is now a varsity sport at Regis, and head coach Dan Flynn will guide the men’s and women’s programs in their first seasons in the NECC.

Men,s Lacrosse

The Pride, with a four-win season for the third

consecutive year, will try to improve upon last year’s

third place finish in the NECC standings, in what

was the inaugural season of NECC men’s lacrosse.

Women,s

SoccerThe Pride enters the 2013 season looking to build off last year’s 11–4–3 record, the best mark in program history. Despite falling to Lesley, 1–0 in the NECC Championship, the team received a bid to the ECAC Tournament.

LacrosseThe women’s lacrosse team

wasted little time making their mark in the NECC’s

inaugural season in 2013, capping a perfect 5–0 regular season conference record by

hosting and winning the NECC Finals. Regis defeated Becker

in a thrilling, 9–8 overtime game to claim the first-

ever NECC women’s lacrosse championship.

Swimming & Diving

After a strong 2012-2013 campaign, the Pride looks to continually improve upon their successes in the pool. Last season saw the women’s program take second place at the GNAC Championships, while the men placed third. Additionally, a number of Pride athletes qualified and competed well at both the NEISDA Championships and ECAC Championships.

volleyball team was awarded the NECC

Team Sportsmanship Award for the

second straight year and will be looking

to improve upon last season’s sixth place finish in the

NECC standings.

Women,s

VolleyballThe Pride wrapped up one of the program’s

most successful seasons in 2013 after making

a run to their first NECC Championship. In

danger of not qualifying for the playoffs, Regis rattled off six straight

wins, including four NECC matches, to

close out the regular season and lock up the

tournament’s third seed.
