hugh Allen is a senior vice president and division manager for the Wells Fargo Commercial Real Estate Regional Private Markets Group. Based in Charlotte, n.C., his team serves clients in Virginia, north Carolina and South Carolina.

As one of the nation’s leaders in the real estate industry, Wells Fargo provides a comprehensive platform of banking and financing solutions to regional/national owners, operators and developers, real estate funds and REitS. the Regional Private Markets Group serves our regional and private clients through 38 offices across the united States.

A 22-year banking veteran, hugh joined First union in 1996 in the tyson’s Corner Commercial Real Estate (CRE) office covering the Greater Washington, D.C. area. in 1999, he moved to Raleigh, n.C. to serve as a regional president. he rejoined CRE in 2001 after the First union/Wachovia merger, and eventually became managing director in charge of Mid-Atlantic CRE in 2006. in early 2009 hugh transitioned into hiscurrent position as Mid-Atlantic division manager.

hugh began his career in 1986 in houston, with Coldwell Banker. his banking career began in 1989 with PnC Bank. A texas native, hugh earned his bachelor’s degree in business at the university of texas and his M.B.A. at Duke university’s Fuqua School of Business.

he is a member of the urban land institute, national Association of industrial and Office Properties, international Council of Shopping Centers, and a founder of African American Real Estate Professionals. Additionally, hugh is past chairman of the trustee Board at St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, and serves on the Duke Children’s hospital & health Center Advisory Board, the Minority Alumni Advisory Board at the Duke university Fuqua School of Business and the Charlotte Police Foundation Board of Directors.

Mayor Diaz developed a vision for Miami as an international City that embodies diversity, economic opportunity, effective customer service and a highly rated quality of life. to achieve this goal, he re-engineered Miami government from top to bottom. During his two-term tenure, Diaz was recognized for completely transforming the City of Miami, and for many nationally recognized innovative programs in the areas of urban design, sustainability and green initiatives, education, infrastructure investment, affordable housing, law enforcement, poverty and homelessness, and arts and culture.

in recognition of his efforts, Diaz has received almost 100 awards and recognitions including, America’s Best leaders by uS news and World Report and the Center for Public leadership (Kennedy School of Government); the urban innovator of the Year by the Manhattan institute; university of Pennsylvania institute for urban Research - Annual urban leadership Award; the American institute of Architects Presidential Citation; the AiA (Miami Chapter) - Governmental leadership Award; the Congress for the new urbanism - Groves Award; and was named an Outstanding American by Choice by the united States Citizenship and immigration Service.

Mr. Callahan is the Chief Executive Officer of Pattillo industrial Real Estate. he joined the Company in 1985 as Chief Financial Officer. Pattillo is a Southeastern industrial real estate developer and design / build general contractor. Since its inception in 1950, the Company has built over 1000 industrial buildings totaling nearly 70 million square feet. it currently owns 215 buildings amounting to 20 million square feet.

Pattillo has designed and built 450 manufacturing facilities. its Kubota manufacturing plant in Jefferson, Georgia was named industrial Deal of the Year by the Atlanta Business Chronicle in 2005. its z.F. project in Gainesville was named Manufacturer of the Year in 2011. its Falken tire build-to-suit was awarded the industrial Deal of the Year by nAiOP in north Florida in 2011 and its interline Brands was named industrial lease of the Year in 2011 in north Florida. Pattillo has just completed building a manufacturing plant for Boeing in Charleston, South Carolina.

Mr. Callahan graduated from Georgia tech with highest honors and holds an MBA in Finance from indiana university. he was the 2011 Chairman of the Regional Business Coalition of Metropolitan Atlanta and is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Callahan is the Chairman of the Stone Mountain Community improvement District which was formed in 2011. he is a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta and is on the Executive Committee of Atlanta’s irish Chamber. he is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, the Georgia Society of CPA’s, and the American institute of CPA’s.

Active in the real estate industry for more than 30 years, Mr. Primo has challenged conventional wisdom in developing new markets for investment. he co-founded Capri in 1992 during the depths of the uS credit crisis and successfully capitalized on the financing void left by retreating banks, insurance companies and thrift institutions. under his leadership in 1998, Capri launched one of the industry’s first real estate mezzanine investment funds, and in the following decade became an early investor in America’s underserved urban markets. Recently, he formed Capri Global Capital, ltd. and has initiated real estate private equity investments in Africa, india and the Middle East. in these and other investment programs, his goal has been to achieve the highest risk-adjusted returns for the firm’s institutional clients.

JAMES h. RiChARDSOn, iiiSenior Vice President, Forest City Real Estate Services

A Forest City associate since 1981, James (Jim) Richardson specializes in transit-oriented developments and public-private partnerships for the Company’s Real Estate Services practice, while also overseeing the group’s development, construction and entitlement efforts. Jim’s extensive development experience encompasses multiple dynamic retail centers, including the Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, Fl, the Shops at White Oak Village in Richmond, VA, Boulevard Mall in Buffalo, nY, and the Mall at Robinson in Pittsburgh.

in addition, Jim has led many of the Company’s transit-oriented development projects. For the Shops at White Oak Village, he worked to add mass transit to the interior of the site and negotiated a $25 million tax-increment financing instrument. in Cleveland, Jim worked with the Regional transit Authority on the redevelopment and master-planning of the Euclid Corridor project, consisting of $250 million in infrastructure improvement to the existing RtA system starting at tower City Center to East Cleveland.

in May 2011, Jim testified in an open hearing to the house transportation and infrastructure Committee regarding passenger rail and tOD planning initiatives. Prior to joining Forest City, Jim operated his own general contractor company and completed approximately $4 million in projects, including offices, townhouses and apartments. he is a member of the international Council of Shopping Centers.

A native of Atlanta, Rodney Bullard has a long history of making meaningful contributions to our community. As the Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation he is spearheading a number of Chick-fil-A’s philanthropic efforts, which include developing partnerships and programs to aid several of Atlanta’s inner-city communities. in his previous role as an Assistant united States Attorney in the northern District of Georgia, Rodney advanced and influenced justice in many ways. his service efforts included directing novel prisoner re-entry programs, community outreach programs, and a youth justice summit. Prior this role, Rodney was selected to serve as a White house Fellow, the nation’s most prestigious public service Fellowship. As a White house Fellow, Rodney worked at nASA for the nASA Administrator. Additionally, Rodney served in the united States Air Force as an Assistant Judge Advocate General where he held a number of positions to include as a legislative Counsel to the Secretary of the Air Force.

A graduate of the united States Air Force Academy, Duke university School of law, and the terry School of Business, Rodney serves on the Board of Directors for the terry School of Business, as a trustee to the Air Force Academy Falcon Foundation, and as President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Air Force Academy Association of Graduates. Rodney is also involved with Covenant house of Atlanta and the Atlanta Speech School.

Rodney’s recent accomplishments include recognition in Georgia trend Magazine’s 2011 listing of the 40 Best and Brightest leaders under 40, the leadership Atlanta Class of 2012, and as one of 10 Outstanding Young leaders in Atlanta for 2010.

Kasim Reed was inaugurated as the 59th Mayor of the City of Atlanta on January 4, 2010. Since then, he has hired more than 600 police officers, re-opened all of the city’s recreation centers as safe havens for young people and improved core city services such as fire-rescue response times and sanitation operations. Working with the Atlanta City Council and the city’s employee unions, he successfully initiated a series of sweeping reforms to address the city’s $1.5 billion unfunded pension liability. Mayor Reed began his term facing a $48 million budget shortfall; under his leadership, the city has had three years of balanced budgets with no property tax increases, and its cash reserves have grown from $7.4 million to more than $100 million.

Mayor Reed has received numerous accolades since taking office. the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies in Washington D.C. honored him in May 2012 with the louis E. Martin Great American Award, saying he “heralds a new and creative approach to leadership.” Governing Magazine named Mayor Reed as one of the top state and local government officials of the year in november 2011. thomas Friedman, the Pulitzer-Prize winning new York times columnist and author of “that used to Be us,” called Reed “inspiring” and labeled him as “one of the best of this new breed of leaders.” in his book “We Can All Do Better,” former u.S. Senator Bill Bradley cited Reed’s straightforward approach in successfully reforming the city’s pension plan and wrote: “We need more of that kind of candor.” Mayor Reed’s civic leadership and service have been nationally recognized on programs such as Meet the Press, the Charlie Rose Show, the Kudlow Report and Andrea Mitchell Reports. he has been featured in publications including the new York times, the Wall Street Journal, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Washington Post and Black Enterprise. Mayor Reed has been a guest speaker and panelist at numerous national and international conferences, including the Aspen ideas Festival, Chicago ideas Week, new York ideas, new Cities Summit, Clinton Global initiative (CGi) America, and the Gathering of leaders.

Mayor Reed is Chairman of the transportation and Communications Committee of the u.S. Mayor Reed grew up in the Cascade community of Southwest Atlanta, where he attended utoy Springs Elementary School and Westwood high School (now Westlake high School). he is a graduate of howard university in Washington D.C., where he received his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees and an honorary Doctor of laws. As an undergraduate member of howard university’s Board of trustees, he created a fundraising program that has contributed more than $10 million to the school’s endowment since its inception. Attorney Ceasar C. Mitchell currently serves as 7th President of the Atlanta City Council. As Council President, he presides at full council meetings, makes council committee appointments, and exercises the powers of Mayor during the vacancy in that office. Prior to being elected Council President, Mitchell served eight years as a citywide Councilmember. During his time in elected office, Ceasar has advocated for safer communities and authored key legislation to facilitate economic revitalization and community input in underdeveloped areas. Ceasar believes that great cities are cities that are clean, green, safe and thriving. he put this belief into action when he convened a Parks technical Advisory Group to recommend measures to create a world-class parks system, as well as created a Clean Green team to provide technical assistance to community groups working to enhance their neighborhoods. he also led the charge to turn a dangerous unpaved road into the Cahaba Drive Walking trail, a safe path for a southwest Atlanta neighborhood. Mitchell is actively committed to the education and enrichment of our city’s youth as reflected in Mitchell’s annual College Prep Series—a college admissions exam preparation program. to date, more than 3,000 high-school students and their parents have participated.

President Mitchell has himself chaired a number of council committees and served as Acting Council President in 2004 during a vacancy in the position. in his professional life, Ceasar is a Senior Attorney with the global law firm of DlA Piper, llC, where he practices commercial real estate. Anthony Foxx, a Democrat, is mayor of the City of Charlotte. he began his political career in 2005 with his election to City Council as an At-large Representative and served two terms before being elected mayor in 2009. As a Council Member, Foxx chaired the transportation Committee, was a member of the Economic Development & Planning Committee, and served as Council’s representative to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Development Corporation and the Mecklenburg-union Metropolitan Planning Organization.

As mayor, Foxx has set three goals: strengthening and diversifying the area economy, improving quality of life, and building stronger relationships with Raleigh and Washington, D.C. With Council’s support, he introduced a series of initiatives aimed at helping small businesses and focused on improving government efficiencies, public safety, and various social matters, including the implementation of the 10-year plan to end homelessness. Additionally, Foxx has worked with state and federal leaders to encourage employment creation and small business growth and to advance infrastructure projects as well.

During his first term, Foxx led a citywide pursuit to bid for the Democratic national Convention. the bid was successful when it was announced in February 2011 that Charlotte was selected to host the convention. Jim Schmitt was elected the 41st Mayor of Green Bay in April 2003; he was re-elected in April 2007 with 70% of the vote and again in April 2011. After his third term, he will be the second longest serving Mayor in Green Bay’s history. Jim was born and grew up in two Rivers, Wisconsin, attended Roncalli high School and graduated from St. norbert College. Schmitt and his wife Dona live in the City’s Astor neighborhood with their daughters Anna (currently attending Drake university), Greta, and laura.

Dr. lipscomb is the Director of Economic Research for Greenfield Advisors llC. he joined the firm in 2010 after five years as a professor of economics at Valdosta State university. Before that, Dr. lipscomb was a research economist at the Bureau of Economic Analysis, u.S. Department of Commerce. there he was part of the trilateral negotiation team formed by the nAFtA treaty that created the north American Product Classification System for real estate-related goods and services.

Greenfield Advisors is a boutique firm that specializes in economic and real estate valuation. Greenfield has consulted on some of the most complex valuation projects, including the Exxon Valdez oil spill, the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, real estate related patent infringement, underground storage tank cases, and other environmental contamination situations. We have certified general real estate appraisers working on all of our cases that involve real estate valuation.

hugh began his career in 1986 in houston, with Coldwell Banker. his banking career began in 1989 with PnC Bank. A texas native, hugh earned his bachelor’s degree in business at the university of texas and his M.B.A. at Duke university’s Fuqua School of Business.

he is a member of the urban land institute, national Association of industrial and Office Properties, international Council of Shopping Centers, and a founder of African American Real Estate Professionals. Additionally, hugh is past chairman of the trustee Board at St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, and serves on the Duke Children’s hospital & health Center Advisory Board, the Minority Alumni Advisory Board at the Duke university Fuqua School of Business and the Charlotte Police Foundation Board of Directors.

Miguel Jauregui recently joined Wells Fargo as a Financial Analyst with the commercial real estate group in August 2012. Miguel has worked in a variety of capacities within residential real estate ranging from experience as a Realtor to a Senior loan Officer and underwriter, including extensive loan workout negotiation through dealing with short sales in the post 2008 financial crisis era.

Miguel is a Consortium for Graduate Study in Management Fellow, a member of the urban land institute, nBMBAA, nShMBA, and an active volunteer with Junior Achievement and habitat for humanity. Furthermore, he is a 2010 graduate of California State university of northridge with a BS in Real Estate investments and a 2012 graduate from the university of Rochester, Simon School of Business with an MBA in Finance.

Jesse tejeda is a recent MBA graduate from uC Berkeley’s haas School of Business with a focus in Real Estate, Finance and Entrepreneurship. While at Berkeley-haas, Jesse was a semi-finalist in the uC Berkeley Business Plan competition and was a summer investment banking analyst at Citigroup in nY. Jesse is currently at the Kor Group, a los Angeles based real estate development, investment, and management firm. Prior to haas, he was a financial and project analyst at Weyerhaeuser Realty investors (WRi), a national real estate investment company, and a senior credit analyst at Comerica Bank. Jesse holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the university of California at Santa Barbara and is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker. Outside of real estate, Jesse enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to new places abroad, and surfing.

Andy came to the united States in 1972; successively he became interested in becoming an entrepreneur and establishing a business in the u.S. he has over twenty‐six years in the tourism industry, developing specific expertise in multicultural and Caribbean tourism.

Andrew ingraham first started by marketing South Florida’s merchandises and services to the Caribbean islands. he launched, horizons Marketing Group intl., inc. his first company in Fort lauderdale, Florida. the focus of his company was to provide car rental, hotel and flight packages for Caribbean travelers to South Florida. As President/CEO of horizons Marketing, Andy has been instrumental in expanding its marketing and public relations with special emphasis on African American and multicultural tourism.

later, he saw the opportunity for multicultural tourism and began searching for ways hotels could cater to a more diverse population. he founded the national Association of Black hotel Owners, Operators & Developers, inc. (nABhOOD) in 1999 which was officially incorporated in 2001. Andy is President/CEO of nABhOOD. the national Association of Black hotel Owners, Operators & Developers, was formed with its mission statement to increase the number of African‐Americans developing, managing, operating and owning hotels; increase vendor opportunities and executive level jobs for minorities thereby creating wealth within the African‐American community.

Mr. haverty is a member of the Board of Directors of and the Center for Ethics of Emory university.

he began his career in Guatemala as a social worker with the American Red Cross and new life league. he directed the reconstruction of housing after the earthquake of 1976 and later developed and managed an orphanage, school and medical clinic. Rawson served five years as a commissioner with the Atlanta housing Authority and currently serves on the Boards of Starpound technologies, Efficient Markets inc., and Sustainable Community Media, inc. he is active in numerous other industry, civic and charitable organizations currently serving on the Board of the national home Furnishings Association, World Children’s Center, the high Museum of Art and Emory university Center for Ethics Advisory Board.

Preston D. Pinkett iii is the President and Chief Executive Officer of City national Bancshares Corporation and its primary subsidiary, City national Bank of new Jersey. Founded in 1973, City national is a $400 million minority owned and operated commercial bank headquartered in newark, nJ, focused on improving distressed and underserved communities and serving consumers with high quality financial services.

immediately prior to joining City national, Mr. Pinkett was Vice President, Social investments at Prudential Financial. in that capacity, he led Prudential’s efforts to provide capital to support the creation of healthy and sustainable communities. Mr. Pinkett served for nearly eight years as a Senior Vice President for PnC Bank. there he formed and managed PnC’s Development Bank, a network of 25 retail branches serving distressed urban communities throughout new Jersey and Pennsylvania. in addition, he was responsible for all community development investment and lending activities throughout the bank’s six state market. Prior to joining PnC Bank, Mr. Pinkett was Senior Vice President for Chemical Bank new Jersey.
