REFERENCING USING OSCOLASection 4
Chapters in Edited Books
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO INCLUDE?
Firstly, you’ll need to include the information about the specific chapter: the author and the title of the chapter
Then the information about the book in which it is to be found
That way, you are acknowledging who wrote it (the author of the chapter), and also giving the information needed to find the book (by including the information about the editor and title of the book)
Give the author of the chapter, followed by a comma,
Then the title of the chapter in single quotation marks,
Then the details of the book in the normal format
INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHAPTER FIRST, THEN THE BOOK
V Easy, ‘All you need to know about referencing’ in Joe Bloggs (ed), OSCOLA for Everyone (9th edn, Sanity Press 2010)
Abbreviate editor as ed, and put it in brackets after the name of the editor of the book
