The network-based install adds to SureTrend’s versatility and is perfect for businesses or individuals wanting the benefits of a distributed setup without needing to setup a server. Designed to be light and efficient, this guide will walk you through the install process step-by-step.

Network Installation

01Click here to

download SureTrend and run it once

completed.

02When the screen appears choose a

setup language and click Next.

03Read and accept the license agreement and click Next to

continue.

Getting started

Don’t check the box!

You will have SureTrend 4 installed on your computer and you can start exploring it.

The next step will be moving your SureTrend database to a network location. We’ll cover that in the next slide.

When the install finishes…

When you get to the Multiuser – Distributed Network checkbox do not check it. Just click Next to continue the installation. You’re almost done!

Copy the database fileClose SureTrend. Open File Explorer and paste C:\ProgramData\Hygiena\SureTrend into the Address bar. Copy the suretrend.sdffile.

Paste the database fileWith the suretrend.sdf file copied, navigate to the new folder you would like to have the file stored and paste it there.

Update settingsOpen SureTrend and go to Server Configuration Setting under the Admin tab.

Change the location in Database Name to point to the new location you pasted the suretrend.sdf file. Click Save.

Remember…You will need to make this change on all SureTrend clients that will be connecting to this database. Point them all to this location.
