1 Welcome from our President On behalf of all of the committee, I would like to welcome you to our foundation season with the Redland City Redbacks. We have already seen a significant interest in players for this season, across all age groups, and are all really excited to see this club grow and nurture the fantastic community spirit that has already begun to shine. It is not only the foundation season for the club, it is the foundation season for our club committee. We have been working tirelessly to get the club up and running and will continue to try and make this season an amazing experience for all involved. I am sure that this season will bring (and it already has!) an abundance of opportunities, accomplishments and I am sure a few challenges along the way. Your support within the club is vital for a successful season and we would appreciate any parent/guardian/player to assist with the season operations where you can. During the season, we will have the bulk of our information communicated through our Facebook page, website and email. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact one of committee members. We look forward to a great 2020 season and I will hopefully be able to share a snag or two with you all at our weekend games. Tim Lovett

• Fees are applied based upon the team placement and not the age of the child • Families with more than one child will receive 5% discount on subsequent players. The discount will be

applied to the younger sibling’s fees. Applicable to players registered in the competition age group (U8’s Mini Roos and above) only.

• All fees are to be paid in full before the first game of the season to ensure players are covered for insurance. Uniforms and equipment will not be issued until full payment has been received. Fees can be paid via credit card on the Play Football website or (preferred) via bank transfer.

• Bank details for payment of fees are: Name: Redland City FC Inc BSB: 034-074 Account: 257007 Please use the players Initial and Surname and Age as Reference and email remittance to the club treasurer. Ie: JBlogsU12 For Merchandise please use name and email remittance to the club treasurer.

4.1 Refund Policy

A full refund of registration fees will be given if the player has not yet been registered with the Football Brisbane/Football Queensland/FFA (“FB”). If a player has been registered and it is week 1-4 of the season, the FB component, and a $30 Admin fee be deducted and the remainder of the fees refunded upon request. After week 4 of the season, no refund will be given unless there are extenuating circumstances as determined by the Committee. If the player has taken a uniform and/or ball, the club will also withhold $75 from any refunds to cover the cost of the merchandise. No refunds will be available for the purchase of merchandise unless it is deemed faulty.

4.2 Wet Weather Policy

In the event of wet weather, please refer to our Facebook page for confirmation if a game and/or training session will be going ahead. We endeavour to let the coach know as soon as possible of any cancellations. In the event that a session is cancelled for the KickOff program, we will add an additional session to the season where possible. 4.3 What do your fees go towards?

The Club uses your registrations fees to pay for the following –

• Football Federation Australia (FFA) registration fees for every player • Football Brisbane registration fee for every player • Football Queensland – State registration fee for each player • Injury insurance for all players • Competition Affiliation Fees • Team Photo for all junior players (U8-U16) • Individual player medal for Miniroo Kickoff players • Individual player trophy for all junior players (U8-U16) • Game day kit for all Junior and Senior players (Excludes KickOff Program) • All Referee and/or Linesman fees for every team (note: fees for friendly games prior to the

start of the season are not included) • Skills Training Coaching and Game Training Certificates for all club coaches • Public Liability insurance • First Aid equipment and supplies • Utilities fees (electricity & water) • Lease of fields from Redland City Council • Maintenance and purchasing of coaching/playing equipment (cones, bibs, portable goals, nets

etc.) • Maintenance of Club facilities • Maintenance and upkeep of Club field equipment (mowers, line marker etc.) • Upkeep of technical equipment – computers, printers, photo copiers etc. • Maintenance of equipment in canteen/BBQ • Administration costs

Included in the fees are: -

• Mini Roos Kickoff: Saturday morning for 1hr Term 2 and 3 (Uniform available for purchase) • Juniors U8-U16: Training two nights per week (days to be decided by coach) and approx 20

competition games on Saturday The club relies upon parent and community support. We will require parent/community volunteers to coach and manage each team. If there are no volunteers to take on these rolls for any age group by the start of the applicable season then we will be forced to withdraw the team from the competition.

5 Registration All players in the junior competition levels need to register to play via https://www.playfootball.com.au/ . For new players, you will need to set up an account as the first step, for existing players just log into your account and your information will appear. Please select Redland City FC when you search for a club and our information will appear. Complete all details required. Note: for the age group it is the year the player is turning i.e 14/10/2011 is 9 in October so would be U9. When it comes to the payment, if you are paying for one player you can elect to pay directly in the app. If you are paying for multiple children, to access any applicable discounts, please pay the club directly as per the details above so your discounts can be applied. If you are also looking at applying for a Fairplay voucher, please also pay directly the registration fee less your Fair Play voucher value and provide a copy of your voucher to the club treasurer. Information on obtaining a voucher can be found at https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/fairplay/apply. Players in the MiniRoos Kick-Off groups will need to register separately. Once the registration platform is up and running, we will advise the steps. Please DO NOT register with Play Football as per the instructions above.

7 Code of Conduct Redland City FC places great importance on good behaviour both on and off the field. While good behaviour is basically a matter of common sense for both players and spectators, the Club's Code of Conduct for players and parents has been included in this kit for further guidance. Breeches of the Code of Conduct can lead to the Club taking disciplinary action against members

Players

• I will always play by the rules. • I will never argue with an official. If I disagree with a decision, I will inform the captain, coach

or team manager during a break or after the game. • I will control my temper; I understand that verbal abuse of officials and sledging other players

and deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent are not acceptable or permitted behaviours in any sport.

• I will work equally hard for myself and/or my team • I will be a good sport and applaud all good plays whether they are made by my team or the

opposition. • I will treat all players in my sport as I like to be treated, I will not bully or take unfair advantage

of another competitor. • I will cooperate with my coach, team members and opponents. • I will display modesty in victory and graciousness in defeat. • I will not arrive at the field intoxicated or drink alcohol at any matches. • I will respect the rights, dignity and worth of all people involved in the game, regardless of

their gender, ability, cultural background. • I will thank the opposition and officials at the end of the game.

Parents/Carers

• I won’t pressure my child in any way – I know that this is their game not mine. • I will not use bad language, nor will I harass players, coaches, officials or other spectators. • I will encourage my child to respect the efforts of their opponents. • I will remember that children learn best by example so I will applaud good plays/performance

by both my child’s team and their opponents. • I will give positive comments that motivate and encourage continued effort. • I will focus on my child’s and their teams efforts and performance – not the score.

• I will thank the coaches, officials and other volunteers who give up their time to conduct the event for my child.

• I will volunteer my services and help when asked by a coach or official. • I won’t criticise or ridicule my child’s performance after the game – I realise that good fun is

more important than a good win. • I will not arrive at the field intoxicated or drink alcohol at junior matches. • I will respect the rights, dignity and worth of all people involved in the game, regardless of

their gender, ability, cultural background. Spectators

• Remember that young people participate for their enjoyment and benefit, not yours. • Applaud good performance and efforts from all individuals and teams. Congratulate all

participants on their performance regardless of the game’s outcome. • Respect the decisions of officials and teach junior players to do the same. • Never ridicule or scold a player for making a mistake. Positive comments are motivational. • Condemn the use of violence in any form, whether it is by spectators, coaches, officials or

players • Show respect for your team’s opponents. Without them there would be no game. • Encourage players to follow the rules and the official’s decisions • Do not use foul language, sledge or harass players, coaches or officials. • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person regardless of their gender, ability,

cultural background or religion.
