New Zealand Red Cross is a network of 12,000 members, volunteers and staff who work together to help people in need and increase community resilience.

Meals on Wheels• Began in 1951• One of our longest-

standing and most recognised Red Cross services in New Zealand

• Over 600,000 meals delivered in NZ every year, 100,000 in Auckland

People Savers•Community Trainers •Basic First Aid for children aged 8-12 years •Delivered in schools and community groups •Skills to act in an emergency situation

Refugee Programmes•750 new refugees each year•Additional 600 Syrian refugees between 2016-2018•Professional support through social workers, cross cultural workers and trained volunteers•Current settlement locations: Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Wellington, Nelson and Dunedin

Disaster management•19 Disaster Welfare Support Teams across the country•Volunteer based, 38 volunteers in Auckland•Regular training exercises and simulations

International aid programmes• We train and deploy

highly skilled health care, IT and other specialist workers

• 44 aid workers deployed overseas for 57 missions
