Principal’s Report: Grandparents’ Day-Whole
School Maths Day:
Grandparents’ day this year
will coincide with our annual
Whole School Maths Day.
Parents, grandparents, relatives
and community members are
invited to come along next
Wednesday, 6th May to share
maths activities and lessons
with our students.
Visitors are welcome to come
along from 9.00-11.00am.
A special morning tea will be
held from 11.00am.
School Cross Country:
The annual Red Cliffs Primary
School Cross Country was
held today. Although
conditions were a little cool at
the start, all children
participated enthusiastically.
I was very pleased with the
endeavour and attitude
displayed by our students.
A great time was had by all.
Sincere thanks to Mr.
Warburton for his fantastic
organisation.
Full results in next week’s
Newsletter.
I.N.O.K.T.B.A:
Students attendance in term 1
was excellent. 76 students
were at school every day.
A total of 116 students were
absent for only two days or
less.
Grade 3/4D had the best grade
attendance for the term - 82%
of the class were absent for
only 2 days or less. See p.4 for
full details.
ANZAC Day:
I was extremely impressed
with the Red Cliffs Primary’s
ANZAC Ceremony last
Friday.
All students stood quietly and
respectfully while the
ceremony was conducted.
School Captains, Joel Finch
and Jorja Parker represented
Red Cliffs Primary at the Red
Cliffs RSL ANZAC Day
ceremony last Saturday. Our
students did an exceptional job
in rather trying conditions.
Well done kids!
Book Club:
Thank you to everyone who used
the LOOP option when ordering
Book Club. However, using the
catalogue and order form that is
sent home with your child is still
an option for you to use if you
would prefer it.
All the books ordered through
LOOP will arrive with the
school’s order and given out to
the children.
Every time we order books, we
earn points for our school to
spend on books for our library or
classroom.
Thank you for your continued
support of Book Club.

Last Friday our school played our part in commemorating
the 100th anniversary of the ANZAC landing in Gallipoli.
We came together to remember those brave soldiers that fought
for our country, particularly focussing on World War 1.
Our School Captains, Joel and Jorja, spoke beautifully on behalf
of our school. The poppy wall was fantastic, as was the singing
of our Grade 3&4 students. The service was concluded
by the playing of the Last Post by Donald Mayne.
As if organised for the day, we heard magpies warbling during
the bugling, concluding a truly memorable event.
By 5/6W
Joel and Jorja place their
poppies on our wall. A large and very
respectful gathering
in our assembly area.
