Dear Prospective Purchaser,

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the great features of living at 8024 Readington Court and why I chose to live in the Daventry Park community. The development is relatively small and quiet. The neighbors are friendly and there is a good sense of community among the residents. I purchased the townhouse new in 1994 and I have enjoyed living here for 18 years. The large entry foyer leads up to open floor living and dining areas complete with crown molding. A large master suite with tray ceilings plus a soaking tub in the master bath provides the perfect adult retreat.

A great benefit of living in this area is the close location to amenities and conveniences. The bus stop is directly across the street, and it is only a five-minute drive to the Metro station. The VRE stop is a short distance of 15 minutes.

Grocery stores, CVS, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and local restaurants (my favorite is Mike’s Grill) are all within a mile from the house. Currently under construction is the soon to be revitalized Springfield Mall, again,only 5 minutes from the house. Fairfax County is well known for its good public schools and George Mason University & Northern Virginia Community College are not far. And, being so close to the Fairfax County Parkway allows one to travel to other nearby areas with ease.

There is plenty to offer the outdoor lovers too! Practically out the front door are numerous walking trails and, for the bike enthusiasts, the Cross County Trail (CCT) runs right past the house. Within close proximity is Burke Lake, Lake Accotink, Lake Mercer, and South Run Recreation Park Center. Surrounded by so much nature makes it hard to believe one is actually in a city!

These are all the reasons why I have enjoyed living in the area, as I hope whomever purchases my home will too. It will be hard to leave the Springfield area, but after retirement, I have decided to move back to my home town.
