READING HIGHLIGHTS Unit5 The Eternal Terracotta Warriors STRUCTURE A small group of farmers discover a clay figure of a man lying beneath the ground. Thousands of life-size figures of soldiers were representation of the legendary army of Qin Shi Huang. The army was organized into three groups. Though a great achievement, Qin Shi Huang ordered many of his engineers and artisans be sealed in the tomb with him after he died. No two soldiers look alike in their facial features and expressions. Research has revealed that the soldiers were made on an assembly line. Many of Qins soldiers were caught in the tides of history.
