Answer all Question1. Determine the concentrated load acting at center of the beam having a effective span of 5.25m. The Beam has a UDL of 10kN/m throughout. The breath of the beam is 250mm and overall depth is 550mm. Take the tension steel as 4#25 and assume dia. of stirrups as 8mm. Use M30 grade concrete and Fe 415 grade steel. The beam is exposed to severe environmental condition.
(15)
2. Design a RCC beam supported on wall of 300mm thick spaced at a clear span of 7.7m. The beam carries a super imposed UDL of 40 kN/m. The size of the beam is restricted to 300 500mm. Use M25 grade concrete and Fe 500 grade steel. The beam is exposed to mild environmental condition. Sketch the details of reinforcement.(15)M S RAMAIAH INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
