Construction of RCC Bridgein Noorkhel Shahikot, Dir Upper
Noorkhel is situated at a distance of over 45 kilometers from Dir town. The village is home to over 1,200
households (Nine thousand men and women). Over years, the locals had severe accessibility problems
due the non-existing of an all-weather bridge over the stream that isolates it from main Dir town.
Doro Falahi Tanzeem, a local community organization, accessed Sarhad Rural Support Programme
(SRSP) for financial assistance to construct an all-weather RCC bridge under the EU funded PEACE
program in Doro. The project was initiated in January 2014 and completed in June 2014.
