Responsibilities in Waste water plant:-

PLANT/MECHANICAL OPERATIONS:-

Operates sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment in wastewater treatment plant to control flow and processing of sewage.

Monitors control panels (SCADA) and adjusts valves and gates manually or by remote control to regulate flow of Influent and Effluent.

Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings and tests results to determine load requirements

Collect Sample using dipper or bottle and conduct laboratory tests such as pH, BOD5, COD, DO, MLSS, MLVSS,TSS, Ammonia, Nitrate, Phosphorus, Faecal Coliform and Chlorine etc.

Starts and stops pumps, engines, and generators to control flow of raw sewage through settling, aeration, filtering and sludge digestion processes.

Maintains log of operations and records meter and gauge readings. Good specialized Knowledge in activity or stage in processing as Activated-

Sludge Operation, Grit-Removal Operation, Pump-And-Blower Operation, Sludge-Control Operation, and Sludge-Filtration Operation.

Oversees removal of waste such as Sludge and Grease. Ensure that all precautions necessary for the safety of personal and

property are observed. Any other duties as dictated by the Superior.

Responsibilities in RO, Water Plant:-

Maintain the water treatment plant systems in order to ensure the availability of a quality of clean&good water supply.

Reviews computerized operation and testing records to monitor membrane condition

Maintain and operate the filtering and chemical treatment processes. Inspect, service and repair components of the water treatment plant

including waterFilter membranes, intakes, pipes, water storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment controls, circulation pumps and valves.

Monitors plant effluent flow levels and directs it to the appropriate injection well or other distribution outlet.Ensure an adequate supply of water for human consumption and Fire Fighting Activities

Prepare work orders for servicing and repairs.Inspect the treatment plant systems on a daily basis to ensure effective operations Of Water Treatment Plant.

Laboratory Analysis:-

Collects samples and identifies concentrations of chemical, physical or biological characteristics of water as required in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements.

Charts lab test results for trend analysis and maintains accurate records of analyses and test results.

Evaluates data and writes reports as required. Gathers and tests wastewater& water samples for plant efficiency and

reports be Submitted to Superior. All tests are done by EPA Method, i.e. BOD5, COD, pH, Temp, Dissolved

Oxygen, TSS… Performs quality control tests on lab equipment and lab analyses. Evaluates procedures and results for accuracy and determines appropriate

methods.

General:-

Able to identify difference between Water and Sanitation Systems. Able to find & fix Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Problems. Able to fix Water and Sewer distribution, collection systems including

Pipes, Water mains, Manholes, Hydrants, etc... May train other operators, Trainees in acceptable Operation, Maintenance

and lab methods and procedures to assure accuracy of operation, Maintenance &Test results.

Maintains drawings and schematics of Electrical, Mechanical and other systems in the treatment plant.

Monitors performance of electrical systems, circuits or equipment of the treatment plant.

Provides back-up to related positions. Other duties as assigned or apparent.
