Breast Cancer
• In 2009, about 62,520 women in the United States were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. This is a whopping 41% increase from 2001
• Women in the U.S. have a 1 in 8 lifetime chance of developing invasive breast cancer and a 1 in 33 chance of breast cancer causing their death.
• Approximately 40,000 women die from breast cancer annually.
Breast Cancer Effects us all
• Women and Men can suffer from Breast Cancer• Children suffer when their Moms pass away
due to breast cancer• Husbands are left without wives, and children
without mothers, and students without teachers
• 3 teachers from VVHS have died due to Breast Cancer

• Funds will go toward the Susan G. Komen race for the cure. To find a cure for breast cancer and treat patients without health insurance
