Q. 1 Problems arose because programmers represented the four-digit year with only

the final two digits. This made the year 2000 indistinguishable from 1900. The assumption that a twentieth-century date was always understood caused various errors, such as the incorrect display of dates, and the inaccurate ordering of automated dated records or real-time events.

the practice of representing the year with two digits became problematic with logical error(s) arising upon "rollover" from x99 to x00. This had caused some date-related processing to operate incorrectly for dates and times on and after 1 January 2000, and on other critical dates which were billed "event horizons". Without corrective action, long-working systems would break down when the "... 97, 98, 99, 00 ..." ascending numbering assumption suddenly became invalid.

This bug had several names, but a particular name become so famous that it has been used in very different ways, including the inspiration behind the name of a Chinese musical band and the ring name of a famous WWE star.

Q. 2 “X” was founded in 1976 by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley in Munich, Germany. The

company soon stood out, with its distinctive creations featuring unusual combinations of colors and patterns, exclusive embroidery, and elaborately designed knitted fashions. It saw a rapid upswing and continually extended its collections and its creative work.

In the course of its international expansion, “X” went public in 1986. In 1994 the company launched the “X” Sport label, established its own accessories collection including bags and shoes and granted major licenses, collaborating with such partners as Procter & Gamble.

In 2007, the artist Stefan Szczesny created a new “X” collection in Saint-Tropez, France. Since July 2008, Bruno Sälzer was the acting CEO with responsibilities for design, marketing, and sales.

In 2009, “X” sold its subsidiary Primera AG, which comprised the brands apriori, cavita, and Laurèl, as well as BiBA. On August 11, 2009, “X” filed insolvency at Munich Local Court, as an exchange offer for the outstanding bonds of €200 million was not accepted by the necessary 80% of all bond holders.

In November 2009, it was acquired by India's London-based billionaire Lakshmi Mittal, whose daughter-in-law, Megha Mittal, is the owner and Director of the Board.

Q. 12 When Jeremiah Heaton’s seven-year-old daughter Emily turned to him one

night last winter and asked him if she would ever be a real princess, he was faced with a dilemma.

“I didn’t want to break her spirits, so I said ‘yes, absolutely,’ he told the Guardian by phone from his home in Abingdon, Virginia, this week. “At that point I had no idea how to make it happen, but I couldn’t let her down. She had such a serious tone. I knew it meant a lot to her.”

The 38-year-old American took to Google to begin researching disputed regions across the world. He figured that to make his daughter a princess, he would have to make himself a king.
