spare parts anD serVice KitsgrunDfos offers original sPare Parts anD service kits for manY ProDuCts. WheneVer a sPare Part or serVICe KIt Is aVaILaBLe for a PumP, You’LL fInD It on the PumP’s ProDuCt Page In the grunDfos ProDuCt Center.

21

22

What’s the DIfferenCe BetWeen a sPare Part anD a service kit?

at grundfos, spare parts are distinct replacement components, such as a seal, that can be changed individually. By contrast, a service kit is a collection of components that should be replaced all at the same time to ensure optimal functioning of the pump.

so spare parts are single units, and service kits are groups of spare parts.

locating sPare Parts anD serVICe KIts

say a pump you’ve installed is in need of a new shaft seal. to find the correct replacement seal, you first need to locate your specific pump.

the easiest way to do this is to enter your pump’s product number or name in the large search field at the top of the Product Center home page.

Pump seal (spare part).

Gasket kit (service kit).

22

23

once you’ve arrived at your pump’s product page, click the sPare Parts tab to the left of the performance curves.

23

24

to see spare parts and service kits available for your part, click the blue “Valid from” link beneath “service parts”, and a list of available parts and kits will appear. If you see multiple “Valid from” dates, find the week code on your pump’s name-plate and select the corresponding “Valid from” date.

nb: the “Parts list” link or links beneath the “service parts” list shows all the parts that comprise your pump, making it easy to identify any standard component you might need to replace, but are not available from grundfos.

24

25

Click your part or service kit to reveal its product number in the grey box to the right of the list.

note the part number for your seal. You can then order your part or kit from your local supplier or via the grundfos extranet. save the instruc-tional material by clicking ”add to” for instant access via your saved Items list on the Product Center home page.

saved items and recent items lists are only available to registered Product Center users, so be sure to sign up if you haven’t done so.

one Product number Per serVICe KItas mentioned above, service kits are collections of spare parts that are normally installed at the same time. service kit names start with the word ‘Kit’, and have a ‘+/-’ expansion box to the left of the name, so you can see what parts the kit includes. order service kits the same way you order individual spares – by noting the product number and ordering from your distributor or via the extranet. note that the individual parts in a service kit do not have product numbers, so you’ll need to order using the product number for the entire kit.

flexible PurChase oPtIonsYou can purchase grundfos spare parts and service kits individually, in bulk or as part of a recommended spare parts package. and don’t worry if your specific pump model is no longer available – grundfos spares and/or replacement products are available for at least 10 years after production of the pump has been discontinued.

most service videos are divided into chapters for quick and convenient navigation. If you only need help with particular tasks – such as removing a shaft seal or re-assembling the pump head – use the list of chapters to find the exact help you’re looking for.

comPrehensive Product documentationfor additional guidance and detailed product information, click the ‘Documents’ tab next to the ‘Videos’ tab at the bottom of your pump’s product page. then click ‘service’ from the list that appears to locate

the document you need. If the ‘service’ option is not available in your market, look under ‘Installation and operating Instructions’, ‘Data Booklets’, ‘Brochures’ and ‘Product guides’ for further information about your product.

once you’ve created a project, you can access it in different ways. You can always access specific projects from the Product Center home page, under “Your Items”.

for more options, select “Your ProjeCts” from the top menu bar.

there, you’ll be able to see your recently updated projects.

32

open a particular project or view all your projects – including those

you have archived, and that do not appear under “saved items” on

the home page.

If you select “see aLL ProjeCts”, you’ll be taken to the main “Your

ProjeCts” page, where you can add, duplicate, delete, archive and

un-archive projects.

If you select a particular project you will be taken to a “Project details” page, where you can work with the project in question.

33

the “Project details” page contains some general information and basic functions at the top and a number of more advanced functions under the “ProDuCts”, “ProjeCt DetaILs” and “tImeLIne” tabs.

the “ProDuCts” tab displays all the pumps in your project, and lets you

sort and delete pumps, and access the product page for each pump.

34

the “ProjeCt DetaILs” tab provides more detailed editing functions – including the ability to create additional users for collaborating on projects.

for more information about the project, see page 36.

under the “tImeLIne” tab, you can add and remove notes, along with adding “snapshots” of your project to record its progress towards finalisation.

35

once you have finalised your project, click “PrInt / PDf” on the “Project details” page for a PDf document containing all relevant information about the pumps in your project.

this is particularly useful for preparing tenders, as it can gather all required data about the pumps in your project in a single document for storing, printing or emailing.

if you haven’t yet signed uP, be sure to do so today!

36

collaborating on Projects

Projects are a great way of designing a larger installation containing many pumps, and collecting all your pump-related documentation in a single PDf file.

But what if you’d like input from a colleague or a grundfos representative on the particular project you’ve designed?

that’s what the “aDD user” function is all about.

to share a project with another Product Center user, first go to the project you’d like to share and click the “Project details” tab.

note the two “aDD user” buttons to the right.

37

You can always see which users you have added to your project on the Project details page.

the names of users with editing rights appear in the “users with editing rights” list, while users without editing permission are listed under “users with viewing rights”.

the users you add to your project will be able to generate a PDf containing all relevant information about the pumps in the project, and save and share this document just as you can.

• the first “aDD user” button lets you share your project and give the user or users you’ve added to the project editing rights. this will enable the other user(s) to add new pumps, remove pumps and so on – collaborating with you as you build and refine your project.

• the second “aDD user” button lets you share your project with others, but does not give these users editing rights.

When you click one of the two “aDD user” buttons, a dialog box will prompt you to enter the new user’s email address.

enter the email address and click oK, and the project will appear in the user’s list of projects next time he or she signs in. note that the email address you enter must be the same as user’s Product Center login address.

38

Documentationthe grundfos Product Center provides access to virtually all available information about grundfos pumps.

this information can include:

• Quotationtext• Datasheets• Curves• Wiringdiagrams• Illustrations• Lifecyclecostreports• Andmuchmore…

the Project function lets you create groups of pumps, along with any available documentation for each pump.

38

39

at any time while working on a project, you can create a PDf containing the exact documentation you need for all pumps in the project.

Doing so can save you time and hassle when sharing information and prepar-ing tenders.

to create a PDf, click the PDf / PrInt button at the top of your project page.

40

this opens a large dialog box, where you can choose exactly the information you’d like your document to include for all pumps.

the PrInt / PDf dialog box contains three tabs: Content, Page & heaDers setuP and seCurItY

• the Content tab lets you choose the types of documentation you want to include in your PDf – from technical specs to wiring diagrams.

• the Page & heaDers setup tab provides access to the usual formatting and printing setup options.

• the seCurItY tab lets you protect your PDf with a password and set usage rights.

41

When you have finished setting up your document, click generate PDf at the bottom of the dialog box to create your online documentation PDf.

If you have allowed printing under the security tab in the dialog box, you’ll be able to print your PDf and save it for subsequent printing or sharing.

42

open the grundfos Product Center from any mobile device by typing:
