Question 5 – how did I attract/ address my audience

First of all I researched my genre and looked at YouTube clips and other RnB magazines and I found a RnB Magazine called Vibe which I thought looked really stylish and I wanted my music magazine to have the same appeal to my audience

My music magazine will attract an audience because of the unique selling point which is the free poster of chipmunk, and I have put a picture in a shape of chipmunk promoting the free poster inside the magazine, hoping this will persuade people to buy my magazine because they are getting a free poster from the magazine. The picture below indicates some of the unique selling points of this magazine:

i also used words like exclusive on several occasions, this makes it sound like I am the only magazine covering this story which adds a sense of excitement and sophistication and shows that my magazine is quite unique. I also addressed my audience by doing a short questionnaire to try and find out who my target audience was and what type of magazine they would like to see on the market, my target audience was teenagers aged 13- 18 who wanted a music magazine and the genre they wanted was Rnb so I started to plan my magazine around this.

• I attracted them by the colour scheme which was pink and black

• I also put pictures which I thought would relate to genre of RnB and I thought my audience would like which were pictures from concerts I have previously been too all of my camera.

• Layout – the layout also would attract my audience because if it was all jumbled they would not buy my magazine
