Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the members of our community and for all who are in need, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. Vincent de Paul wants to extend much gratitude to our generous parishioners who donated to our Christ-mas Giving fund and purchased Nativity Raffle Tickets. Together we raised $15,000. These funds allowed us to help the 20 neighbors in need who applied for a one time Rental and PG&E assistance in the month of December, and now applying in the month of January. We wish to help families stay in their homes during these difficult times and with your help, we are able to assist.

Congratulations to our raffle prize winners! Crocheted Nativity: Abigail Avon Gift Basket: Maria Garcia Pete’s Gift Card: Ana

THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD

When we read this passage of our blessed Lord’s baptism, we often forget that our Lord had not yet began his public ministry. We could say that Jesus had not yet done anything “remarkable”, he had been living a simple everyday life, working with his hands, and living at home with Mary and Joseph. I would like to simply encourage you to take the time to read this passage in a prayerful manner, so that you to may receive the Father’s love, when he says “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” Read this and re-ceive it as the Father speaking to you. We often think that we must earn God’s love, or try to do things to please him, and as good and necessary as those things are, they come second. We are human beings, not human doings. We first and foremost are beloved by the Father, with an unconditional love that has no equal, a love that is unique and especial. It is from this received word that Jesus begins his public ministry, almost as if the Father was letting him know that he loved him even before he did anything “remarkable.” So, let us receive that word from the Father, so that we ourselves may do everything out of love, as sons and daughters. The Youth Corner Have you thought about your life here on earth? Have you thought about what you are called to do, to be? Do you have a desire for great things? Well I did and still do, my name is Jimmy Jimenez-Garcia and I am the new youth minister/ Confirmation coordinator here at Queen of All Saints. This new section of the bul-letin was inspired by our pastor Fr. Neal Clemens, in a desire to “preach the gospel to all people” a desire to evangelize. Also to come in the following weeks will be, reflections from seminarian John Paul Rabago from St. Patrick’s seminary in Menlo Park. Let us also pray for him!

Confirmation classes will resume this Sunday.

Confirmation Year one starts @2:00 until 3:15p.m.

Confirmation Year two starts @3:30 until 4:45p.m.

Somos seres humanos, no acciones humanas.
