I hope you have all had a lovely restful holiday taking the time to recharge and spend time together as a family. We are excited to be back to a more normal looking term with many of our programs returning to business as usual (with some social distancing and hygiene adjustments in place of course!) Dojo Rewards Congratulations to the Term 2 Dojo winners. As we were unable to finalise and reward anyone for Term 1, I have decided I will reward the first 2 students in each class this term. Congratualtions to the following students: Azalea and Reef (KF), August and Mekai (K/1G), Grace, Maddie and Scarlet (1O), Indica and Lacey (1/2G), Sage and Cora (2/3C), Stuart and Catherine (3/4S), Summer and Shayarna (4/5J), Shiloh and Blaine (5/6H) and Matilda and Lily (5/6O). I am looking forward to enjoying a special activity with you all throughout this term. Well done to all the students who made the Term 2 Reward Day and got to enjoy a movie and popcorn! Pyjama Day – Year 6 Fundraiser Thank you to everyone who supported the Year 6 fundraiser on the last day of school. Year 6 raised $218.20 which is a wonderful effort to go towards the Year 6 present for the school. And it was a comfy and warm way to end the term! Term 3 Guidelines Update re Covid-19 Some further restrictions have eased this term as communicated at the end of last term. The following programs will recommence (or continue) this term within the guidelines: Music Bus (every Tuesday for enrolled students) SISA (every fortnight, odd weeks for all students) SRE (Scripture) classes will recommence from next week for those families who have opted in to attend Dhinewan Mentoring with Jonathon (every Monday) School Drop Off and Pick Up procedures As parents and all non-essential external visitors are still not permitted to be on school grounds, we will continue to supervise and monitor the morning drop off and afternoon pick ups consistent with how we ended Term 2. Please remember to maintain social distancing at the gates. Have a great week! Lyndal Coleman Principal Did you know? Pick Up and Drop Off

School pick up and drop off routines will continue as Term 2 finished. Please remember:

To ensure the safety of all students and staff we ask that you do not enter the school grounds for pick up and drop off. We ask that parents maintain social distancing guidelines by avoiding gathering outside of school gates if walking and remain with their car if driving. Please remember that supervision commences 9:00am.

Collungra St – in the mornings, a staff member will be on duty from 9:00am to watch your child walk from the car into the school, please park/stop on the school side of the road. In the afternoons, students will wait with the staff member on duty until parents can be sighted and then students will be supervised walking to you at your car.

Badgewoi St – in the morning, parents can use the Kiss and Ride Zone which is designed to drop your child and continue on. There will be a staff member on duty to supervise the Kiss and Ride area. Please ensure you keep this area flowing. In the afternoon, park and remain with your car, students will wait with the staff member on duty until parents can be sighted and then students will be supervised walking to you at your car. We recommend the kiss and ride in the morning but PLEASE use the lane to exit, do not u-turn.

Wyee Rd - Alternatively, you can park opposite the school and your child will be supervised crossing the road by our crossing supervisor.

Please be patient during pick up and drop off times. At this point the roadworks happening around the school do not impact our pick up and drop off routines.

Leanne, our fabulous cleaner, has been working hard maintaining our vegetable garden and planting an assortment of seasonal vegetables. Each Tuesday Mrs Field is met by an eager group of

students who water, weed and harvest the produce from the garden.
