FSSC 22000 certified The DSM Nutritional Products and Food Specialties businesses werefrontrunners in having the first of theirproduction facilities certified according to FSSC 22000 – the new reference for food safety.

Going for GMPDSM Nutritional Products has alreadyinvested €25 million in GMP-relatedactivities in the recent past – and we’lldouble that over the next few years. This means we can operate undercontinuously improving, state-of-the-art manufacturing and quality control conditions.

Driving innovationDSM Pharmaceutical Products’ finisheddosage drug production facility inGreenville, NC, USA responded to theH1N1 influenza pandemic threat of 2009-2010 with a total quality mindset. Thanks to our sophisticated IT trackingsystems, DSM can trace all of itsproducts through every stage of sourcing,production, processing and distribution.This allows us to verify quality andcompliance throughout the manufacturingprocess. Firstdiscovered in the DSM laboratories in1955, Natamycin prevents the growthof moulds and yeasts that spoil food,and is used across the food industryas a safe and effective preservative.
