Gateway
The gateway can be triggered from 12 months onwards.
The porolio must be complete to
trigger the gateway.
Employer to have final decision in
progressing to EPA, apprence and
training provider should also agree.
Quality Assurance
The EPAO will be responsible for quality assuring assessment
outcomes at EPA.
This is to be achieved at their discreon with process being
evidence quality assurance provided
by the IAM.
The Independent End Point Assessor will carry out the following:Knowledge Test - The apprence undertakes a mul-choice test to last a maximum of 60 minutes and include 50 equally weighted mul-choice quesons with four possible answers each. The test is to be completed online and requires invigilang.
Porolio-based Interview - The interview is for 30-45 minutes with the Porolio of Learning providing a structure for this conversaon. The interview assesses understanding and learning shown in the Porolio; the Porolio is not directly assessed.
Project Presentaon - The apprence delivers a presentaon on a project they have completed or a process they have improved. The presentaon lasts 10-15 minutes, with a further 10-15 minutes for a Q&A session.
The project presentaon will summarise, for example:
• How have you improved a process or operang pracce? • What were the steps you took to implement the project? • What worked well and how would you improve the results in future?
The EPA consists of three disnct assessment methods:
You can show this as text:
• Knowledge Test. • Porolio-based Interview. • Project/improvement Presentaon.
