Technology developed by a Japanese company Danso-Wave in 1994 QR codes- abbreviation for QUICK RESPONSE codes Advanced matrix or two-dimensional barcode Stores data in both vertical & horizontal directions Readable by mobile devices with cameras & QR scanners
