The only limitation would be internet speed. We recommend 25Mbps download speed and 10Mbps upload speed. Each user needs to have their own login.

Can you arrange the providers on the scheduler in a custom order rather than alphabetical?

Can you book multiple patients from the wait list to the schedule, rather than one by one?

Can you bring up a patient with a phone number?

Yes, in any patient search field type the phone number without the area code and with a dash. e.g. 555-1234

Can you create more than 1 (billing) macro but at a different %? Or have the same macros with different diagnostic codes?

Yes. Go to the Accuro start menu> Billing> Billing Options> Manage Macros> Green Plus> Add Macro Name. Enter Procedure, diagnosis, and percentage, then click the green plus. When entering your next procedure the diagnosis can be different and % can be different as well, and then click the green plus and OK to save.

Can you make videos of the presentations available online after today (so we can “attend” the concurrent session we missed)?

Can you place macros inside templates (encounter documentations)?

In templates you can add the name of your macro and click Ctrl + Enter with your cursor at the end of the macro name to access it. Alternatively, right click within a note, template, and many other areas of the program to find macros and apply them.

Can you use macros in an annotation?

How does the dictation app on Accuro recognize voice or words? Does staff still have to edit?

There are 2 options with Accuro Voice: Transcription and Dictation. Transcription is an app on your smart phone that you speak into. The voice file is sent to a Medical Editor who completes the transcribed report. Dictation is a speech recognition program that is installed on your computer. You speak into a microphone and the text appears on your screen. Both services have a voice profile and learn as you continue to speak. Since you can see the words appearing on the screen you can edit as you go, or send a task to an office staff member to proofread and make any edits.

Is there a way to keep a WCB form IN the virtual chart if the fee code isn’t a BC fee code? i.e. If it is an out-of-province WCB billing as in Alberta, when we change the fee code to 19900 it eliminates the WCB form from the EMR entirely. So we have to print it first.

Is doctor-to-patient messaging a billable service?

To include Patient messaging with your current Accuro subscription it is an additional $24.95 per month. From the doctor’s side, MSP/Teleplan advised that a doctor can bill for sending email messages to a patient. Teleplan can assist with the appropriate procedure codes at 1-866-456-6950.

For doctor to patient messaging, and once a message has been sent, can you set up a short cut or macro for automatic billing?

CTRL-B opens a new bill screen from anywhere in Accuro. You could also create a quick action button for creating new bills, or use CTRL + F10 to open quick patient actions which has a button to make a new bill. Try creating a macro to decrease billing entry time.

For online bookings, how do you stop a patient booking their follow-up if it is over the six month f-u period?

There are no rules in place to stop a patient from being able to book an appointment, however every appointment a patient books is only a request. Office staff have the ability to reject appointment requests if the patient has booked sooner than is allowed.

How can a refused or question on a claim be tasked to a provider?

You cannot attach a claim to a task, but from anywhere in Accuro you can select a patient and press F7 to open the tasks for that patient. In this window, there is a button to make a new task. You will have to type out the question and then choose the user you want to send it to. Also, remember that you can access a patient’s claims from anywhere with F4.

How do you add the waitlist tab icon to your EMR?

This module needs to be enabled by a system administrator, under Manage Security> System Settings> Modules> Surgical Waitlist. Our training team can assist with set-up and training of this module.

How do you manually enter other referring physicians?

Alt + F2 to get to your address book> Provider tab> Manage Providers button> Enter physician’s information> Add

I do a lot of private billing in my clinic. Come tax time my patients always ask if they can have all invoices on one page. Is this possible?

Yes. Click F4> Search for patient>Select File in the top left corner> Print Private Bills. Another option is: Ctrl + R> Patient Billing Summary Report> Select Provider(s)> Search for Patient in Step 2> Step 3 date ranges> Generate Report in lower left corner

If a patient has questions about technology for virtual care, do they call me or you? Can I direct them somewhere for information?

Patients can receive support for Medeo services by going to medeohealth.com. There is a support link there for both patients and providers with articles on how to use the services, troubleshooting, and FAQ.

In the Home section, in Labs, is there a way of viewing all parts without unpacking each individual component of the lab folder?

If the question is viewing all items from all subfolders in one folder, you can collapse the sub folders so you only have one folder to check. User Preferences > Display > General tab > Collapse Lab Inbox Sub-folders > Log out/in.

In patient secure messaging, is it by provider? Can MOA staff also message on behalf of the doctor?

Yes, both staff members and providers can send secure patient messages through Accuro. Once one provider is set up for Patient Messaging, they can invite their staff members to also create accounts to be able to send messages securely to patients.

Is there a quick way to see if your physician hasn’t completed a task an MOA sent them?

Yes. Go to the Home section and click the + icon next to Tasks. Click on the Sent folder, then click on the sent task, and along the top there will be a green check mark if the task has been completed.

Is there a way to auto-fill the family doc to be the same as the referring doc so that it automatically shows, to save time entering it twice?

In the Patients section if you enter the Family physician there is a blue arrow to quickly add this physician to the Referring field, and vice versa.

Is there a way to minimize the add patient demographics screen so you don’t have to lose data entered if you need to switch screens?

You can open the Patients section in a separate window by pressing Alt and clicking on the Patients tab. You could then minimize this window and navigate in your main Accuro screen.

Is there a way to see more than the past 12 patients, when pushing Enter?

On Encounter Notes tab, on the prescription list on right side we have recently lost the date and year; it just doesn’t show. How can I get it back? Is there a checklist it may have been unchecked on?

This can happen if the dosage section is not used when writing the prescription, but we can do further investigation via screen share. Case 1025019 has been created for you with our Client Services Team, and someone will reach out to you shortly.

Some scanned documents cannot be deleted from a patient’s chart. The delete prompt is not highlighted. Can these be deleted?

If there is no option to delete from the Virtual Chart, there is an option to Modify. Modify the date, provider, document type or even patient. If this won’t work, you need the feature access permission to permanently delete documents from the chart. The default setting is turned on for all roles to delete documents, however, the default to allow users to delete reviewed chart items is off. So, if the scanned document is not yet reviewed, you can delete it. You could also unreview from the home > documents section for that doctor, and then delete it. Alternatively some users create a patient chart for “garbage” and you can modify the document patient and move any documents that you wish to delete to this fake patient’s chart.

Using the transcription service, could the doc dictate into the program and sent to me to edit?

For Transcription, the transcribed dictation is returned into Accuro as a clinical note in the Home>Documents section. An MOA would be able to review it from there and make any changes necessary. Or the provider can send a task from their Documents folder in the home section asking their MOA to edit the note.

When going to the drawer to search for forms, etc. in the EMR, is there a way for the cursor to automatically go to the search area at the bottom (saving a click)?

It is faster to use your mouse for one click, or click Tab 3x for the cursor to get to the template search field.

When will data analytics be available in BC? And how much will this cost? Will it also meet the MSP BC requirements for the dashboard?

Data Analytics is currently available in all provinces in limited release. Talk to your Business Development Rep about how you can sign up for this Accuro Feature. The BC Panel Dashboards are built based on the guidelines from Doctors of BC.

When sending a secure message to a patient can you also send link for online booking in the same message?

Yes, you can send the URL within a secure message. We also suggest creating a macro that includes your online booking URL to quickly insert into your Patient Message.

When will the mobile Accuro app be available and will it use Citrix as a bridge? Will it be as functional as a laptop application?

We are currently working on the Accuro Mobile App for our ASP hosted customers. We will have further information about the availability of the first release of the app later this year.

When you annotate a document, can it be date stamped automatically

While in the encounter note, using my template, I would like to be able to cut and paste portions of earlier encounter notes or pathology reports into that encounter. I also would like a diagram drawing program that can be directly accessed and inserted into that encounter note.

You can open another note or lab, and either highlight and Ctrl +C to copy and Ctrl + V to paste, or highlight and right click to copy and paste (if available). A diagram drawing program isn’t currently available, however this can be added to ideaspace: https://ideas.qhrtech.com/ideas

With Ocean the online forms are difficult to search and find a basic form, such as a health questionnaire. Is there an easy way to use the search mode?

There are no advanced search options, however we would suggest searching “Patient Intake Form” and previewing the options that display.

With Ocean, can you import your own forms, intakes, and consents to be used?

You cannot import forms to Ocean, but you can create your own forms within the Ocean Portal.
