When you hear of purging, what do

you think of?

Physical purging involves the expulsion of Viruses,microbes, roaches, black mold, pests, insects, dirt fromyour dwelling places

In the same token, any man who lives with God musthave all sins purged first

Purgatory concept is wrong

The real purging not purgatory

Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his

glory, and the express image of his person,

and upholding all things by the word of his

power, when he had by himself purged our

sins, sat down on the right hand of the

Majesty on high;

Three facts about the purging of our

sins by Christ

1. is a personal purging

2. is a substitutionary purging

3. is a final once and for all purging

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his

person, and upholding all things by the word of his power,

Christ - the brightness of God's glory

Christ - the express image of God's person Christ - The one who upholds all things (this

universe) by powerful words

He himself, personally came to us who need purgingto purge our sins

There was only the God man

Scripture says he had by himself purged our

sins

In the purging, he was by himself

no help needed

Mary, Peter, Judas, John, is not qualified to help

Even the Father forsook Him

2. It was a substitutionary purging

Our soldiers made sacrifices on our behalf fortemporary peace

But the sacrifice of Christ is greater because it was forour Eternal peace

when he had by himself purged our sins

John 1:29, he took it away I Pet 2:24, his own body bore our dirt

Heb 9:22, his blood purged our sins from us

Whose sins did he totally purge?

The sins of the sinners in this room

Those who are not sinners are not included in thepurging

Are you a sinner? Christ is the one who purges sins

IS IT TOTAL OR JUST HALF DONE? Did he purge onlyhalf of your sins and the other half of the sins must bepurged by you?

How do you purge dirt or insects from your place? When Christ purged our sins, do you think he did it

haphazardly or thoroughly?

Answer: Psalms 51:7

3. It was a FINAL purging

After he purged, he satdown on the right

hand of the Majesty on high;

What does sitting down on the right hand of

the Majesty on high, mean?

Are there two entities today, two thrones, one

beside each other?

When we are lifted up in the third heaven, will we

see two or three bodies sitting?

Majesty on high

Sitting down means completing the work

It also means His work was accepted

The Lord is not actually just sitting down now, he

is doing other things in heaven

Intercession (Heb. 7:25)

Will unseal the scroll of the judgments (Rev. 5:6)

Sit in the Great White Throne (Rev. 20:11)

He is no longer purging sins now, (Heb. 10:10)

He will not give his body to purge sins again

Christians who forget purging are blind

If you are already purged, then be serious

about it and serve God

Grow in grace

Stop worldliness and flesh

But he that lacketh these things is blind, andcannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he

was purged from his old sins. (2 Peter 1:9)
