Puccini The Puccini Fesval takes place every year on the shores of the enchanng Massaciuccoli Lake in the open air Theatre in Torre del Lago and aracts about 40.000 spectators. The first Operas were performed in 1930 according to the Maestro’s wishes. Since then every year it is possible to live again the Puccini’s masterpieces in the incredible natural seng offered by the lake and now in the new Gran Teatro all’Aperto (open in 2008). Next to the theatre there is the Villa Puccini where the composer lived and worked and where behind his piano he’s buried. You’ll enjoy the music of Giacomo Puccini in the place that he loved and where he composed most of his works, in the place where he lived and where he would have liked to hear his Operas, in the place where he is buried.
