NJ SMART Portal opened for SID Management on March 24th

A SID management User Guide is currently posted on the DOE website

All Districts and Charter Schools must complete SID Management by April 18th

Overview of NJ SMART SID Management


View SIDs

1 – Filter your report to view a particular group of students

2 – Select a format to export your student data


Download SIDs


Clear a SID: Unresolved & Errors

Click on the Records with Errors or Unresolved Records link


Clear a SID and Resubmit the Record

Click View Details for the record you would like to resubmit



Click the Resubmit link



Click OK



Click Update Record


Errors: Correct Data in Records with Errors

Click on the Records with Errors link



Click Change Record for the student you would like to edit



1 – The error message is stated in the bottom left2 – Change the data field and click Update Record

Disputed: Resolve Records Claimed by Another District

Click on the Disputed Records link



Do Research If the student is active in your district, click Dispute Resolved If the student is inactive in your district, click View Details

Student is inactive, click View Details



Select Change Record to update the status

Select Query and Click Release Disputed SID


Issued: Change Record from Active to Inactive

Click on the Issued Records link


Issued: Update Record

Click on View Details link



Click on the Change Record link



Make changes and click on the Update Record link


Unresolved: Query Records

Click on the Unresolved Records link



Click on View Details for the record you are interested in resolving



Click Query



Click the Search button



Click on the SID to view details on a possible match



See details on a possible match and print the screen



Request a New SID or SID Association



When you request a new SID, you will see this message and must click OK to proceed



Click OK again on the confirmation message



When you request a SID association, you will see this message and must click OK to proceed



Click OK again on the confirmation message



Click Change Record to make a change to a student record



Change the data field and Click Update Record
