It is located in the crossroad between Asia and Australia continent as well as between the Pacific and Indian Ocean.

With 1,700 ports, it is heavily dependant on Maritime Transport for International as well as Domestic trade.

Ship Owners must do their part to improve Competency Level of their own sea-staff.

Government should recognise Indonesia’s unique Maritime Heritage and have a Tripartite Agreement with Ship Owners as well as Maritime Academies to upgrade Indonesian seafarers to meet demand of the National Flag vessels.
