Psycho Bitches from Hell Tales of Transiting Lilith

Introduction I worked with someone once who referred to his ex-wife as a “psycho bitch from hell.” Years later, when I encountered the concept astrologically as expressed in Lilith, I wished that I had the birth information of the infamous “ex” to do some checking. Alas, it was too late, but as luck would have it, another opportunity presented itself to see how that energy played out in horoscopes, specifically with women whose behavior indicated that they’d been assaulted by this irrational, wrathful, and usually self-destructive female energy. Since I was unable to locate an ephemeris for Dark Moon Lilith, I looked only at Black Moon Lilith (true) and Asteroid 1181, a.k.a. Lilith. Three of the subjects are women who went on a crazed rampage. One you’ve probably heard about in the papers a while back, a former astronaut who targeted the new object of her lover’s turned affections. The other two are women who fell upon hard times and directed their anger and frustration against former friends who had once helped them, but their friend’s benevolence reached its limit and they were eventually cut off, triggering a meltdown and behavior clearly tutored by Lilith. The fourth is entirely different in that the initial “Lilith” experience involved a horrific childbirth experience. Not to be conquered by this insidious Bitch of the Sith, this righteous and strong young woman fought back, much as Ripley did in the movie, Alien 2, when she climbed into that robotic cage and challenged one of the most evil extra-terrestials of all time to “C’mon, you bitch!” Since the first was well publicized, all available data are revealed, with a copy of the publicly released police report in the appendix. The other names have been withheld for the sake of privacy. Their tales are below.

Heavy Transit Activity Involving Black Moon Lilith and Asteroid 1181 It’s worth noting that Nowak’s natal BML and Asteroid 1181 are both in Scorpio, not a sign to be trifled with when it comes to love issues. The Full Moon on February 1, 2007, created a T-square (3 degrees orb) with her natal BML, perhaps detonating the chain of events four days later. At the time of the incident there were six major transiting aspects and seven harmonic aspects involving either Black Moon Lilith (BML) or Asteroid 1181, a.k.a. Lilith, to Nowak’s Natal Chart.

Natal BML was being squared by transiting Chiron and trined by transiting Venus, reflecting the wounding of her lover’s betrayal and how she would handle it. Transiting Asteroid 1181 was busy as well with a partile sextile to natal Saturn, and a partile trine to Venus, creating a Triangle of Potential with 1181 at the apex that fired up her sense of authority coupled with the discipline required to execute her plan,. In addition, transiting 1181 was novile Neptune, encouraging extreme, irrational behavior, semi-square BML, adding even more intensity to her fury, in partile semi-sextile to the South Node, and biseptile natal Pluto, further darkening her thoughts about the matter. Transits for the day also involved more than the usual amount of Lilith energies with three major and two harmonic aspects. Supporting Influences of Venus, Pluto, Chiron, Ceres and Juno Chiron was also heavily involved with five major aspects, three of which were partile, besides the fact that the transiting Ceres/Uranus pair was CNJ natal Chiron as well; that she intended to wound her target was clearly expressed in the police report. Ceres was considered relevant due to the implications for kidnapping in Nowak’s behavior and the presence of abduction in the Ceres archetype. Transiting Ceres was also trine natal Neptune, reflecting the deception exhibited by the fact that Nowak wore a disguise.


Since Pluto is the perpetrator of the kidnapping of Persephone in the Ceres myth, he definitely got his two cents worth into this scenario. Transiting Pluto was partile conjunct the Vertex, implying a fated encounter, and trine natal Uranus. Of particular interest is the fact that transiting Pluto was undecile the natal placement of Asteroid 1181 and transiting Asteroid 1181 was biseptile natal Pluto, cranking up some significant energy in the irrational behavior department regarding covert and vicious jilted lover behavior. As one would expect in a love triangle, Venus was also heavily involved. Transiting BML was opposite natal Venus and transiting Venus was trine natal BML, opposite natal Pluto, and opposite natal Juno. This combination of energies alone could explain the incident’s themes of love, revenge, outrage, and dark, covert action. Transiting Asteroid 1181 was trine natal Venus and sextile natal Saturn, as well. While we usually think of Saturn as responsibility, in this case it provided a sense of authority beyond either propriety or the law. Nowak’s actions regarding her lover’s unfaithfulness was further reflected in the fact that transiting BML was decile natal Juno with transiting Juno semi-square natal Juno. A partile Saturn opposition was also in effect that was further energized by its participation in a double T-square that included transiting Neptune in partile opposition to natal Mars, both of which were squaring her natal Sun and thus reeking delusion, aggression, and irresponsible behavior. Saturn’s placement at 22:39 Aquarius is semi-sextile the South Node at 22:15 Capricorn and at the time of the incident transiting Asteroid 1181 was semi-sextile the South Node at 22:52 Sagittarius. A week and a half before, on January 23, 2007, when that police report notes that Nowak printed out the maps to make the trip from Houston to Orlando, transiting Venus was conjunct natal Saturn and opposite the natal Mars/transiting Saturn conjunction. Some serious ego inflation was in force, invigorated by a dual Sun – Jupiter triseptile accomplished via a transit – natal dos-à-dos. Natal Chart Indicators As always, the Natal Chart indicated the potential for this type of behavior with a partile Sun square Mars generating aggressive tendencies, and the Moon squaring Pluto, showing a potentially dark and covert emotional nature. Pluto was also conjunct Juno and in a partile sextile with BML. Asteroid 1181 is biquintile Venus. It’s unknown whether this incident was the only time that Nowak responded to a love rival in this manner. The tendency was definitely there, however. Fixed Stars & Arabic Parts The North Node is conjunct Pollux, a fixed star that in concert with the NN can indicate suffering an injury to one’s reputation per Bernadette Brady. The Moon is conjunct the fixed star, Antares, a combination that Bernadette Brady states results in emotional turmoil and willingness to face drama as well as crimes of passion that could show up in the news. and Fomalhaut were both conjunct her Part of Fortune, implying her involvement in the magical and alternate realities represented by spaceflight. Neptune conjunct Zuben Elgenubi further increased the potential for being delusional. Furthermore, Nowak’s Arabic part of Trickery and Aggression is conjunct natal Venus, indicating her capacity for covert and aggressive behavior when it comes to her love interests. Nowak’s Part of Danger, Violence and Debt is in particle square with Mars and partile quincunx Venus; remember that Natal Mars was activated by the double T-Square. Her Part of Trickery and Aggression conjoins Venus, further implicating her potential for various antics regarding her lovelife. Summary: Subject was out of money, couldn’t find/keep a job, and was being evicted from her apartment. In a fit of frustration and denial, she turned on everyone who she felt should have rescued her by sending threatening text messages and placing harassing phone calls all hours of the day and night. She had a history of erratic and vindictive behavior as well as trouble with former employers, neighbors, and family. In this case study, the behavior continued over a period of several months as opposed to a single incident, though the first obvious act befitting the Lilith archetype occurred on March 18, 2008. The Lunar Eclipse on February 20, 2008, was partile conjunct natal Venus and created a T-Square with natal Chiron, indicative of the excessive hurt feelings that precipitated the vengeful actions. With natal Chiron retrograde, processing of these hurts was already hindered. A Mars return that included a Mars – Pluto opposition occurred on March 12, 2008, third in a series that included October 5, 2007 and December 23, 2007, stirring up aggressive tendencies in large degree with the triple pass. Note, also, natal Mars is conjunct natal Uranus, increasing the likelihood of erratic, aggressive behavior. An initial Saturn return occurred on October 16, 2007 with a retrograde pass on February 25, 2008 that included another Mars – Pluto opposition as well as Saturn opposing the Sun, far from auspicious aspects. On April 1, 2008, the subject was forcefully evicted from her apartment and was taken to jail. From there, she was sent to a mental health facility, where she spent approximately two weeks. After that, she took up residence in a motel with weekly rates and commenced the harassing phone calls. Complaints by the recipients facilitated her eviction from two such places as well.

Transiting 1181 opposing both Saturn and Venus further egged on the sense of betrayal and irresponsible, self-destructive actions. Transiting Neptune was quincunx natal 1181 combined with heavy Neptune influences throughout the chart definitely clouded what little judgment may have been there. Several Venus aspects including a Venus opposition and a transiting Pluto trine to Natal Venus reflect that involvement, in this case the loss, of possessions and money. Involvement of the Vertex implies a fated situation with karmic implications, particularly with Chiron, the wounded healer. Transiting Pluto and Juno both opposed Uranus coupled with natal and transiting Mars, providing more dark and vindictive energy into the mix. The transits stimulated natal BML and 1181 influences, which were likewise strong, and predisposed this subject to irrational behavior that defied her college education. The Mars returns that also hit natal Uranus further contributed to her behavior. With the Part of Danger, Violence, and Debt in partile conjunction with natal Pluto, covert and vindictive response to these threats were strengthened as well. The Fixed Star, Alphard, conjoining the natal Moon is another factor which, per Bernadette Brady, would predispose the subject to a “ruthless attitude toward life and passion for one’s own pursuits.” The transiting Mercury tri-septile to natal Pluto defined the means of harassment, i.e. telephone calls and text messaging. While Lilith aspects weren’t as predominate in this case as they were with Nowak, they none-the-less colored the reaction to stress with a crazed-female, self-destructive response. Transiting Neptune opposite the natal Moon contributed to an emotional response that was clearly delusional with respect to reality and what her actions might accomplish. The behavior continued for approximately six weeks during which various other aspects waxed and waned, including more involving BML and 1181.

Summary: This subject was also out of money, and evicted from the trailer she’d been renting. She broke into the home of someone to whom she already owed over $6,000 and started to help herself until caught red-handed by police. Her premise was that her daughter has some clothes that she was retrieving, though various other items found in her car were not of that description. Not surprisingly for people who want to make a point she’d alerted the homeowners with a cryptic, suspicious phone call, after which they called the police who caught the subject in the act of taking items from the home. Several Lilith transits were in force at the time as shown below:

Since the subject was allegedly defending her daughter’s possessions, it’s not surprising to see Ceres slip into the game. While the act was covert and devious, i.e. the subject accessed the inside of the house by having her young daughter crawl through the dog door, she nonetheless showed the classic “devil may care” attitude typical of Lilith in all but announcing her intentions so she’d be certain to get caught. Since at one time she’d been a friend of the family, the dogs were familiar with her and didn’t accost her. There are quite a few supporting Venus aspects here as well, indicating the involvement of material goods. Again, Natal aspects support the behavior and show the potential for irrational, vindictive behavior. The Taurus Moon conjoining Mars shows a determined and aggressive emotional nature while the BML sextile to Ceres shows that her unsocial behavior will be implemented when her daughter is involved. Summary: This case study illustrates another aspect of Lilith’s energy, i.e. her opposition to anything associated with true femininity such as righteous motherhood. In this case, the birth of the subject’s first child was a negative experience due to the dictatorial, uncaring nature of the hospital staff who forced procedures upon her based on their own convenience that resulted in physical injury to the subject as well as emotional trauma, which required counseling to resolve. Being strong and confident by nature, subsequently the subject had a successful and joyful childbirth experience by having her second child at home with the assistance of a midwife. When it was time for her third, she had him at home as well, which was another positive experience, this time assisted only by her husband. All in all, this subject took an ugly confrontation with Lilith and shoved it back in her face.

Transits to Natal – 1st Birth Experience (September 15, 2003)

Transiting Asteroid 1181 was in her 2nd house, which rules the physical body, with transiting Chiron there as well, implying wounding, particular with the tight yod the centaur formed with natal Moon and Mars. Transiting Mars was throwing seemingly soft aspects to both natal Asteroid 1181 and natal BML, though these appeared to strengthen the Lilith energy as opposed to working to any advantage to the subject. Besides opposing natal Uranus, BML was also very active harmonically, throwing an unsettling triseptile to natal BML and a disruptive quintile to Mars which was further supported by biquintiles to Mercury and Pluto, which manifested in the behavior of the hospital staff, and a quadrinovile to Venus, implying the extreme act of female energy involved, i.e. giving birth. Other ominous indications that this would be a less than pleasant experience included the fact that besides natal BML quincunx the subject’s Part of Identity, transiting Asteroid 1181 was square this same Arabic Part and also opposing the Part of Disappointment and


Part of Servants and Service, giving even more Lilith energy to the hospital staff. Natally, Chiron is conjunct the Part of Insincerity, showing the subject is particularly vulnerable to being hurt by those who aren’t entirely honest. During the labor period, which went on for several hours, Venus conjoined the Part of Sickness and Upsets with transiting Pluto conjunct her Part of Tragedy and Fatality, though fortunately the situation didn’t go quite that far, unpleasant as it may have been. Thus, almost two and a half years later, RT was ready to give birth again. This time she’d made the decision to avoid the hospital altogether and employed a midwife. On the day of birth, the number of Lilith transits was significantly lower than with the first experience, but weren’t particularly auspicious, either.

The personal confrontation shows in both the transiting Sun and Chiron squaring natal BML to resolve the hurt of the previous experience. Natal Sun as well as Uranus were further talking back to Asteroid 1181, as if to declare that RT had had enough and was fighting back. Involvement with transiting BML with the Vertex shows the fateful nature of this confrontation while natal Saturn if further undermining Lilith’s punch with a blast of authority to overpower Lilith’s irrationality. At first glance, a look at the other aspects in force at the time of the second birth don’t look especially friendly, but with the Sun conjunct the South Node and the Sun and Mercury opposite the Vertex, it’s apparent that something that will define who this young woman is to become is in work. Transiting and natal Pluto were in a friendly sextile, making transformation and healing accessible, even though transiting Pluto squaring the natal Sun indicated this wouldn’t necessarily be a cakewalk. The transiting Moon was conjunct natal Pluto, helping with the transformation, partile conjunct natal Mercury generating the right thoughts regarding motherhood, and quincunx natal Chiron to propose more healing. Mars, which was transiting the 6th House of health, was throwing energy in a variety of directions and was also conjunct her Part of Unusual Events and further energized our heroine to accomplish her goal, which resulted in the safe and joyful birth of another baby girl. Other activated Arabic Parts included the transiting Moon conjunct the Part of Harmony and oddly enough, transiting Asteroid 1181 seeming to admit defeat by being conjunct the Part of Necessity. Transiting Chiron further assisted by conjoining the Part of Catastrophe and infusing it with healing as well. Even the transits for the day were supportive it would appear with Saturn placing a restraining partile semi-sextile on BML and Pluto’s healing aspects keeping Asteroid 1181 in line. In preface, it’s probably as good of time as any to take a quick look at some of the features of RT’s natal chart. She has some strong Lilith energy of her own, endowing her with plenty of strength and determination to fight back. For example, her natal BML sextiles warrior goddess, Pallas-Athene, a formidable combination to say the least, and partile at that. Asteroid 1181 trines Pallas-Athene, also partile, creating even more of an attitude adjustment from the virgin warrior to fellow-female, Lilith, and as if that’s not enough, Asteroid 1181 is in partile sextile with BML. Thus, this lassie was truly armed with what was needed to fight fire with fire. Neptune conjunct Rasalhague, which according to Brady indicates someone with “strong opinions for or against the use of pharmaceutical drugs who also seeks spiritual lifestyle,” gave her the determination she needed to do things her own way. Conclusion Transits of all varieties are designed to help us grow, and if we don’t, we can bet that a similar lesson will come our way again and again until we figure things out. While most astrologers will at least give lip service to the principal of “using” zodiacal energy according to our free will, when you’re in the midst of a Saturn, Pluto or apparently a Lilith transit, that’s much easier said than done. Did they get there overnight? No. Were there indicators in their natal charts for these tendencies? Yes. But what of RT, who had what could be considered strong Lilith influences natally and by transit, yet came forth victorious? Did she use Lilith or did Lilith use her? If the other women and turned the energy into righteous determination, what different results could have been achieved? As we learn more of the lesser known astrological influences, it enhances our understanding of how they can manifest and how they can be conquered. Being aware of them and finding a way to appropriately warn clients if a potential for ill-behavior is brewing is the challenge out there to us all. As with all astrological energies, there’s a positive and negative pole. The trick is helping our clients determine how to grab the proper end and make it work.
