2019-FELLOWS BRIEF BIO Dr. M.Arun
He is Professor of Forensic Medicine, Convenor of Medical Education Unit
and member of Curriculum Committee for MBBS, JSS Medical College, and
member of Board of Studies for Allied Health Sciences, JSS Academy of
Higher Education and Research, Mysuru. He has undergone training in Basic
and Revised Basic Course Workshops in Medical Education Technologies and
AETCOM at St John’s Medical College, Bengaluru. He has undergone
fellowship offered by MCI on Medical Education/ Advance Course in Medical
Education (FIME/ ACME). He had been resource faculty for Basic and
Revised Basic Course Workshops conducted at his Institution under the MCI Observer from the
Nodal Center. He was Organizing Secretary for three days National Conference on Medical
Education; MECON 2015 at his institution in the year 2015. He has attended and coordinated
workshops on Educational Research and Humanities in Medical Education, Designing of MCQs, OSPE
/OSCE and Leadership Skills. His area of interest in Medical Education is innovations in class room
teaching.
Dr. Bobby Paul
She is currently working as Associate Professor and Head, Department of
Preventive and Social Medicine at All India Institute of Hygiene and Public
Health (AIIHPH), Kolkata. She has teaching experience of more than 12 years
at both UG and PG level. Her area of interest is bioethics, research
methodology and biostatistics. She is member of Institutional Ethics
Committee of SSKM Hospital and AIIHPH and editorial board member of
Indian Journal of Public Health. Till date she has published 70 research
articles in National and International indexed journals. She has also authored
a book titled “Essentials of Biostatistics” (2nd Edition), and two monographs.
Dr.Cynthia Subhaprada
She is an Associate Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Kurnool
Medical College, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Trained in Basic and Revised Basic
course workshop (AETCOM), CISP at MCI-RC, GMC, Secunderabad, ACME
(2015 B) at DOME- JNMC Belagavi, secured second place in Excellence
Awards for Capstone Project during Training to Teachers (T2T), Harvard
Medical School, in collaboration with Dr.NTR UHS, Vijayawada (2016-2017),
Participant - CBME workshop by University of Edinburgh and Association of
Medical Educationists, Hyderabad. Actively involved in interactive teaching
to keep the students engaged. Member of MCI curriculum committee, KMC and resource faculty for
MEU-KMC. Published research articles on medical education and Public Health in indexed
international journals and is a Peer Reviewer.
Dr. Denesh Narasimhan
He is a Professor of medicine at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and
Research. He is part of core committee member of medical education unit at
PSGIMSR. He has undergone the revised basic course workshop at CMC
Vellore and is also currently undergoing advanced course in medical education
from CMC Vellore. He enjoys teaching and is interested in innovative
teaching and learning methods in medicine. He is also interested in student
mentoring.
Dr. Jamal Giri
Dr Jamal Giri is an associate professor in the Department of Orthodontics
in B.P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, Nepal. He
joined the institute after completing postgraduation from Institute of
Medicine, Kathmandu in 2014. Currently, he is a core group member of
Health Professions Education Department of BPKIHS. He is also the deputy
coordinator of problem-based learning program for undergraduate dental
students. His areas of interest include clinical orthodontics, research and
medical education.
Dr. Jacob Jesurun RS
He is currently working as Associate professor of Pharmacology at Believers
Church Medical College and Hospital. He is also the co- coordinator of the
medical education unit. He is a member of the curriculum committee and II
MBBS curriculum coordinator. He has completed the revised basic course in
medical education technologies and is currently pursuing the Advanced
Course in Medical Education. He has recently undergone the Curriculum
Implementation Support Program (CISP). He is the Vice Dean of student
affairs and extra- curricular activities. He also serves as the chief warden
of the Gents hostel and secretary of the Parents Teachers Association at
BCMCH. He is also the coordinator for INSPIRE (Pre- clinical sensitization program) and the
Clinical Foundation Program for the medical students. He is actively involved in student mentoring
and focused in institutional development. He is into active faculty and student research programs
and has 8 publications to his name.
Dr. Krishna Prakashjoshi
H e is Professor in the Department of Community Medicine & Vice Principal
at S.V.S Medical College, Mahabubnagar, Telangana state. He is the MEU
coordinator since last 3 years. He is Coordinator of Curriculum committee &
trained in Competency based curriculum implementation
from MCI regional center. He underwent Advanced Course in Medical
Education Technology (ACME) from JNMC Belgaum in the year 2017. He is
also coordinator of student welfare committee .He
innovative teaching learning methods to improve the medical education
standards which will help nation to achieve its goal of health for all .
Dr.Chaitra V.
She as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at PSG
Institute of Medical Sciences and Research. She joined the present institute
after completing her MD from St John’s Medical College, Bangalore. She is
one of core committee member of ISO and was involved in preparing quality
manual for the Institute. She has

Karnataka

She is currently working as Professor Cum Vice Principal in MGM New
Bombay College of Nursing, MGM Institute of Health Science (MGMIHS),
Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is currently pursuing PhD in nursing
education from Pravara University; Maharashtra she has completed online
certificate course on Medical informatics from eHCF School of Informatics
,New Delhi, and Nursing and patient Safety in School of Nursing and Health
studies, University of Miami .She has more than 16 years of Experience and
has 15 publications to her credit. She is an active member of Editorial board
of Mathews Journal of Nursing &Health Sciences, Institutional IQAC Committee, Member of
Research Cell, Best Scientific Paper Award Committee, and Board of Studies - Nursing (MGMIHS)
and approved PG Guide.
Dr. Samir Bele
He is presently working as a Professor and HoD, Department of Community
Medicine in Velammal Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, Madurai.
He is part of several important initiatives and committees including a
“Secretary of Academic Coordinating Committee” for the proposed Velammal
University, “Coordinator for Human Resource Department”, “Convener of
Appointment Committee” and member of “NAAC Accreditation Committee”. He
is also serving the institute as an editor of “VELNEWS”, a hospital newsletter.

Research Laboratory, Research Co-ordinator of VMKV Medical College &
