Commercial Street from Bangs Street to Franklin Streetand including the public ways within the

Town’s Commercial Center Zoning District.

which continues to remain in place, which requires everyone to wear a mask when they are unable to maintain a socialdistance of 6 feet from every other person.

Above is the Commercial Center Zoning District designation, please note that the mask order extends furtherinto the West End and East End than the district but it clearly shows the area

of Bradford Street that is also included under the Order.Mandatory mask zone signage was installed along the main pier and public way.

Commonwealth of Massachusetts/Baker Administration COVID-19 UpdateRhode Island no longer qualifies as a “lower-risk” state for Massachusetts:The state of Rhode Island will be removed from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s list of “lower-risk” statesfor COVID-19 transmission. This is the only state in the New England region that is now subject to Governor Baker’s travelorder that includes filling out a travel form, quarantining for 14 days or producing a negative COVID-19 test result takenwithin 72 hours of traveling to the Commonwealth. Exemptions apply for regular commuters. Click here for more on theGovernor’s travel order. Additional information pertaining to the travel order here.

Health Department/Board of Health:Health Director Morgan Clark and Board of Health Vice Chair, Dr. Susan Troyan offer a summary of theCOVID-19 testing options available to the public. There is a great deal of interest in the type of COVID-19 testing that is currently available to the public, especially for thosewho have no symptoms, but may have been exposed to the novel coronavirus through work or social contact. If peoplehave any symptoms of COVID-19, they can go to their medical provider, get tested and insurance will cover the test. Forthose who are pre-symptomatic or asymptomatic and have a higher risk of exposure due to their job, it’s veryunderstandable that they would want to get a test that is reliable with a reasonably short turnaround to get their test result. For information the types of testing, click here.

Provincetown Health Department urges residents and visitors to protect themselves from mosquitoes asthe Commonwealth reports first human case of EEE in Plymouth County.Although much of our collective attention is focused on staying safe from COVID-19, summertime brings with it a variety ofadditional reasons to be cautious. The Provincetown Health Department wants the public to be aware that eastern equineencephalitis (EEE) is a growing risk in Southeastern Massachusetts and encourages people to take steps to avoidmosquito bites. Cape Cod National Seashorehttps://www.nps.gov/caco

Rangers are on Duty at Seashore Visitor CentersWhile the seashore’s visitor center buildings remain closed, rangers are providing information services outdoors on thegrounds of the Salt Pond and Province Lands visitor centers. From mid-morning to late afternoon each day, weatherpermitting, rangers are offering orientation talks, question and answer sessions, maps, brochures, and junior rangerbooklets and awards. Specific hours will be determined once visitation patterns become clear. The America’s NationalParks store at Salt Pond Visitor Center is open Thursdays through Mondays, mid-morning to late afternoon.

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy the Center for Coastal Studies are collaborating with the national seashore to offerpop-up information stations at several beaches this summer. Staff and interns from these organizations are sharinginformation about the marine environment, sharks, seals, and whales. Visit the organizations’ websites for more information

Visitors are reminded to maintain social distance of at least six feet; to wear a mask where social distancing cannot bemaintained; and to practice good hygiene, including frequent hand washing.

Provincetown CCNS Beaches Herring Cove will not be staffed with lifeguards this summer.

Race Point Beach will have lifeguards through Labor Day. Bathroom facilities are available at all beaches. They will be sanitized on a regular basis.

Fees will be collected at the entrance gate. Visitors are advised to read & heed all safety advisories posted at beaches.

Help Promote Ocean Safety AwarenessTo help the public understand that with coastline topography changes and sharks and seals in the ocean, any level of activity in the

ocean, whether wading, swimming or surfing will pose a different degree of risk. Everyone going into the ocean should exercise caution and be willing to assume the level of risk associated with their behavior prior to

entering the water. Modifying human behavior is the most effective form of ocean safety.

It is illegal to feed or leave food for wildlife in National Parks. Animals that are fed often lose their fear of people, becoming unpredictable and aggressive

which might lead to serious injury to people and destruction of the wild animal. There is enough natural food to support wildlife so feeding is unnecessary and harmful.Be sure to remain distant from wild animals; to keep children close and pets leashed.

Rangers will continue to cite offenders.

Repairs Complete on Atlantic White Cedar Swamp Trail;Major Funding from Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore

The trail is located near the Marconi Station Site, off Route 6 in South Wellfleet. A celebratory event atthe trail with donors and the public will be planned when gatherings are deemed safe.

Series 3 Performances Are (Virtually!) Available

Everyone at PMPM is grateful to have the opportunity to bring alittle joy into your home with musical treats during these times. Two more compositions are now available on our Chamber Music for the Outer Cape page -- and we thinkyou'll really enjoy them.

Without further ado, the newest additions include: Johann Sebastian Bach's "Partita #2 in D minor, BWV 1004:Allemande" A partita is a dance form, and this particular partitais Bach's most famous violin solo. In this interpretation, violinistJeffrey Thurston highlights the two distinct lines as if played bytwo different instruments, while beautifully creating a harmonicshape -- a great example of Bach’s arabesque.

Antonin Dvořák's "Piano Quartet in E Flat op. 87: Lento"

In Dvořák’s Lento movement of this beloved quartet, he gives thecello an exquisite solo. The mix of the cello melody with the pianoaccompaniment descending from high to low creates aconceptual metaphor of heaven.

Dvořák keeps the soul rising, later in the piece where heemploys counterpoint and harmonic motion to compliment themelodic arch.

Thank you and be well,
