ENTREPRENEURShIP DEVELOPMENT CLUb

On 7th June 2019 ED club conducted an

exhibition cum sale of umbrellas within the

campus.

On 19th June, ED club members conducted

a workshop on ‘Umbrella Assembling’

to the students of the college.

On 6th December 2019, organized an exhibition

cum sale of all venture products within the

campus and also food fest.

On 15th July conducted a seminar on the topic

“Start up & business Incubators”. Session was

handled by Mr.P G Nandakumar, Industrial

Extension Officer, Kozhikode Corporation.

Industrial Expo 2019

On 27th June, an inter class best Management Team competition was organized.

Ayisha Anis, Rifana & Aysha Nuza of 2nd year b.com won the prize.

On 4th September 2019, an inter class business quiz competition was conducted.

On 30th October 2019, an inter departmental debate competition was conducted

on the topic ‘GST Pro’s & Con’s’. Anjali Vineeth of 3rd Economics won the first prize

On 5th March 2020, as a part of International Women’s Day an inter departmental

quiz competition was conducted. Sona Sebastian and Chandana T T of 2nd b.com

won the prize

From 23rd to 27th December 2019, students

participated in the ‘Industrial Expo 2019’

organized by District Industries center,

Calicut.

COMMERCE CLUb: ELTON

On 8th July, Project presentation of the selected pass out students was conducted.

Presenters were Arya Suresh & Ananya G K. Arya Suresh presented her project

titled ‘Employees Awareness on Solid Waste Disposal & Recycling’ and Ananya

G K presented her project titled ‘Customer Awareness about Home loan Policies’.

On 5th August 2019, R&D cell organized an inter collegiate research paper

presentation competition. 35 teams from various colleges presented their papers

On 10th January department took part in the exhibition organized by R&D cell of

the college. Topic for the exhibition was Robotics Management.

On 11th February, a workshop on Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) was

given to the PG students by Farseenamol P, Research Scholar, PSMO college,

Thirurangadi.

RESEARCh AND DEVELOPMENT CELL

Department actively took part in the project Unnath Bharat Abhiyan which aims to

make transformational changes in rural developmental process and conducted a

survey at Kuruvattor Panchayat, Parambil bazar. 4 teachers and 10 students

actively participated in the survey and completed 35 houses.

On 30th October 2019, as a part of Vigilance awareness week, An anti corruption

awareness rally was conducted to Malaparamba. Dr. Sr.Sheeba, Vice Principal

Flagged off the rally.

On 31st October 2019, as a part of vigilance week students conducted a class on the

topic ‘Awareness on Anti corruption’ to the students of Karaparamba school.

ExTENSION ACTIVITIES

Commerce association was inaugurated by Mr.Biju C, Deputy Collector, Kozhikode

and he also delivered a talk on the scope of Commerce.

On 29th October 2019, as a part of Vigilance awareness week an Elocution

competition was conducted on the topic ‘Corruption Free India’. Nayanthara of 1st

bA English secured first position.

On 24th February 2020, Farewell to the final year students was organized by the

juniors.

On 6th March 2020, as a part of International Women’s Day an inter departmental

Drawing competition was conducted on the topic ‘Women Empowerment’.

Chandana of 2nd b.com won the prize.

On 7th February 2020, Department organized an Achievers day on which awards

was distributed to the students for their academic excellence and for other

activities. On the same day Association Valedictory was also done.

ExTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

On 9th July in collaboration with Network System, Dr. Nirmal, Network

Engineer conducted a seminar on the topic ‘Ethical Hacking & Cyber Security’.

In collaboration with hedge Equities Calicut, a certificate course ‘Banking &

Financial Service’ was started for the 2nd year students on 6th December 2019.

In collaboration with Network Systems Calicut, a certificate course ‘Digital

Marketing Basics’ was started for the 1st year students on 15th February 2020.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES

On 2nd August 2019, a career guidance class on MbA and other competitive

examinations was conducted by TIME Institute Calicut.

On 24th January 2020, a career guidance session was conducted by

Ms.Rashmi & Mr.Akshay, Managing Directors of Insight Institute of Commerce &

Management.

On 4th February 2020, a motivational talk was given to the final year students

by Mr.Sudeep, a Freelancer.

On 12th February, Mr.JojoTomy & Ms.Anne Marie of Elance Institute gave an

awareness about Professional courses to final year students.

CAREER GUIDANCE

On 14th February 2020, talk on ‘Income Tax & GST’ was given by Mr.Ramkishor

from Yugen Institute, Calicut

Shaswati T attended National Workshop on the topic ‘Data Analysis for social

science research using SPSS’ organized by School of business Studies, Commerce &

Management Studies, University of Calicut on 5,6 & 7th August-2019.

Shiji P attended a 5 days workshop on ‘Methodology and Data Analysis for

Business and Social Science Research’ organized by PG Department of Commerce,

NMSM Govt college, Kalpetta from 6th to 10th January 2020.

Vidhya Krishna qualified M.Phil From University of Calicut

Shiji P received an Award for best NSS programme officer at University level

Commonly used E-platforms are Moodle and Google classroom

Students submit their assignments through e-platforms

Online exam training for NET exam was given to M.Com students by

Ms.Shaswati T through Moodle.

Due to lockdown -COVID 19, all the teachers completed their portions through

video and audio classes which were shared through Google class room and Moodle.

Second internal exams for the fourth and second semester was conducted

through Moodle.

Internal marks were also shared through Google classroom.

Teachers also started You tube channels for publishing the video classes

which can be used for other needy students

2019’ conducted by SN college, Valanchery. Aysha KM, Ayisha Anis, Rifana &Aina of

2nd b.com won the best Management team.

On 15th January 2020, students participated in ‘zINDA 2K20’organized by St. xaviers

Arts & Science college, Calicut. Aysha KM, Ayisha Anis, Rifana &Aina of 2nd b.com

secured 3rd position in Marketing game.
