Props Canon camera 1100D – This is a good camera which shows good focus. I need this as I have a lot of movement in my music video therefore using this camera it should guarantee it will be clear and focused. Rio Roller Skates- I will be using these in the beach scene as I think it’s something that people would/could do on the beach. It’s also something visual to look at in the background so we aren’t getting bored of just Tom singing. Longboard- I will be using this longboard at the beach as I think it’s something that people would/could do at the sea side or on the pier. It is also something visual to look at in the background so we aren’t getting bored of just Tom singing. Steady cam- this is a very important piece of my equipment as I (the camera women) will be running backwards having to keep the camera in exactly the same place and proxemics from Tom throughout the whole song. I will be using the best steady cam the school can give in order to make sure the clip is as steady as it can be.

Canon camera 1100D – This is a good camera which shows good focus. I need this as I have a lot of movement in my music video therefore using this camera it should guarantee it will be clear and focused.

Head phones- as Tom is listening to music

Cigarette- I want a person to be smoking so then I have the smoke done in slow-motion. I believe that this will be really effective and make you want to see the other background details that I would have captures.

Costume

I would like all of my cast to wear normal everyday clothing. This should make the music video seem more naturalistic and fit my feel good concept.

Main man (Tom) –

Coat

White top

Normal blue jeans

Boat shoes

Cast

I wanted as many extras as possible to then I have busy background activities going on behind my main guy. I wanted the scene to be a representation of what could be seen in those situations and locations. By having so many people involved it wouldn’t be a boring performance music video as the things going on in the background will help set the mood, scene and atmosphere of the song.

Tom Smit- I chose Tom to be my main guy as I think he is and completely controversial to the stereotypical person you would see in a reggae music video. He isn’t tall nor does he have many muscles, but I like this non stereotypical look. Tom is a very funny, smiley boy which is idea for my music video as it is a feel good, happy video.

He is 17 and currently does media studies and has previously done GCSE drama. With this in mind I know that Tom will be good at acting the emotion of the lyrics through, of which is need so then the facial expressions are more apparent. He also understands the demands of the production part of media so he can aid me and ace his part in the music video.
