1.0 INTRODUCTION
We as a Group 8 from course of Asas Pembudayaan dan Keusahawanan
also to be known as ‘THE SEEKERS TEAM’ that has choose type of business that
we like to involve. ‘The Seekers Team’ is group to make some event
management in APK subject for this current semester session II 2009/2010. Our
group agree to do something different as usual other group doing when APK
project is coming. So, our group provide ‘GHOST HOUSE’ to practical that APK
theory where we had learnt.
‘The Seekers Team’ is namely because the significant with ghost. Seekers
are name to anyone who wants to explore and find ghost. In this situation ‘The
Seekers Team’ not meaning to find the ghost, but our team try to give some
medium to people feelings when ghost are around us. So, our project that ‘Ghost
House’ will provide some place calling house and make it scary where we put
false ghost and the scenario when we are in the real situation.
Idea to establish ‘Ghost House’ comes out when we think that we want to
make our market going out with usual market. To ensure our product acceptable
and giving more profit we try to enter niche market where the markets have
fewer competitors and it can stand suitable in that market. In our group
discussion, we also have member who not agree for this project. But after more
details and a lot of discussion being made about our capability, the project flows
than all members are agreeing with this idea.
Everyone will give 101% commitment to ensure this project success. We
also used to be doing survey to find out the respond from student and UMS staff.
We also agreed to put the ticket price RM2 per entry to attract anyone and enjoy
our event and it is based on the survey actually.

1.1 ORGANIZATION CHART
The type of business that we are like to involve is event management. We
choose ‘Ghost House’ as our event. We found that this kind of event is
interesting where it is rarely implemented and it could attract students and staffs
in UMS just by hearing it. We were not only providing service of fun but we will
also distribute souvenir as our product related from the ‘Ghost House’ as well.
Our souvenir included is like t-shirt (limited edition) that we design by our own
and key chain.

2.0 RATIONAL
The rational of doing this event are to let the student feels themselves
about the mystery of ghost. It is not the same kind of ghost showing at any
places like Muzium Negara and so on but the feels is something that we want to
bring up for the students. Some people said they don’t want to see ghost
because they scared and it’s ugly. But in real life ghost are around us. So, our
groups try to bring that mystery of ghost and try to make it real in ‘Ghost House’.
Some mystery cannot explore by our eye but we can feel it when they are
around us. We try to put a real situation like in the jungle or old house where the
place is had the mystery of ghost.
At the same time we will provide the information about ghost where they
can add more knowledge about ghost by entering our Ghost House. Maybe some
people don’t believe of ghost but we try to change their mind from the
information about ghost. For example when ‘ghost house’ held in Muzium Negeri
Sabah on 2003, they provide some information about ghost around the world.
They make the research and make a mini fair outside the ‘ghost house’. To
attract more people to come, we try to bring and provide that kind of information
to let them know more about ghost.
Other than that we look the event as an advantage for students to release
their tension for only RM2 per entry for fun. From that event, we try to get some
profit where we can get our capital on the beginning of this event. But when we
compare the value of RM2 with the benefits to join us in Ghost House, we believe
it more valuable than that. APK expo will be on March. Besides, APK also try to
teach students make some project or direct selling to get the profit. So we try to
provide some medium to release tension for student who has pressure to study.
Furthermore, event like this rarely being implemented because it is quite a
lot of work to be done and people judge that we cannot do the business without
any co-operation from outside company but rationally our company with eleven

shareholders wants to make it happen by doing a thing with good preparation
and the time given for us is quite enough and we take it as a positive one.
3.0 OBJECTIVE
Our company objective is:
1. To build a co-operation skill and spirit among all the shareholders.
A good entrepreneur is when he or her can give co-operation as a team.
Some people can success with their own product but not so on when working as
a team. So, our main objective is built a co-operation skill and spirit because we
are from other background and other programmed in UMS.
2. Shareholders have to give their full commitment. We are sacrificing our
time, money, holiday, feeling and so on to make sure our event become
successful as we plan.
To ensure that what we do is achieve the goals is depends to our
commitment to make it. APK is not only to teach how to survive as an
entrepreneur but it also teaches how to solve and give the commitment to put
our own effort to achieve the goals and become successful.
3. Thinking out of the box.
This is not an ordinary business which needs creativity and critical
thinking. We have to think on how we can attract customer and to make them
satisfied with our services. For us, customers are always right.

4.0 SCOPE OF PARTICIPATION
4.1 Scope Market
Our scope market is 2000 out of 6000 UMS students from all school.
4.2 Target Market
Our target market is UMS Students, UMS Staffs and its open to all visitors
during that time.
4.3 Location Market
The location is being set by the APK expo organizer. It is confirm to be
ready at Dewan Kuliah Pusat area.

5.0 IMPLEMENTATION METHOD
Our strategies to implement this event are by doing:
Survey
We already distribute 40 copies of questionnaires which are asking
a response from students about our Ghost House. 95% of
despondence are agreed with our event and 80% are agreed to buy
our souvenir. We put 10 question in our survey form and distribute
the form to our despondence. Our team member are separate the
distribution to ensure all school are involve in this survey.
Using Brochures / Flyers
To ensure our advertisement strategy is success and the
information reached UMS students about this project, we provide
some brochures or flyers. It is the alternative way to advertise our
project as fast and effectible. That way also is a low cost and for
that we can save our budgets in advertisement strategy.
Facebook is one way and attractive way to inform our group project.
Recently almost UMS students already have their own facebook.
Our group strategy in facebook is inviting anyone in facebook as
well as our friends and UMS facebook group to inform about ghost
house.

Advertisement
Advertisement is usual way to inform people about something. In
that way, we try to put our group project advertisement like poster
and put it at all bus stop.
Memo
In this way, we try to put information about our project. The ghost
house location, time and date are providing in that memo. This is
more about written skill and attracts students to read.
In verbal communication
This way also attractive because it’s directly inform to our target
market. For example A gives an information about ghost house to B,
than B give that information to others. This is we try to apply for all
members and friends.

* Capital budget balance will cover all the Ghost House props price

7.0 SWOT ANALYSIS
7.1 STRENGTH
First event in APK project
Many groups in APK project provide direct selling in their stall. But
our groups try to doing some project different with others. This is
meant our project is not facing so many competitors in the same
market.
First in UMS
Our group try to make what student never been doing in APK
project. So, when we come out with this project this is a first time in
UMS where nobody has tried to make project like this. This is our
strength to attract students to come to our stall and enjoy the
project.
Medium to release tension
APK expo is on March and that month is full with the assignment
and midterm session. We try to provide some event where we can
release tension while taking information about ghost. Student will
choose this activity to release they tension and that is giving benefit
for our project.
Co-operation from SPS lecture
To ensure this project is success and achieve our objective, we are
lucky because we get the co-operation from lecture of Sekolah
Pengajian Seni that is Dr Andika Aziz Hussein. He’s expert on how to
make the props and make the situation of ghost house in a real.
From that, we can come out with the best touch and quality of the
ghost house.

7.2 WEAKNESS
This event also got a weakness which is like a problem to find the location
where there is limited space provided from an organizer to implement this event.
We also faced with lack of knowledge in this event. We need to meet or consult
by experienced people to ask on how to solve some problem that occurred.
7.3 OPPORTUNITY
However, opportunity also appeared from this event. It’s consisting of
single market. In marketing strategy, that is bonus when we don’t have facing
competitors. Easy for our company to make differentiation with and put some
effort to ensure our project achieve the goals.
Besides, we also have no competitors in this market. This is because we
are the only group making that event and provide information about ghost.
Furthermore we get a good feedback from survey questionnaires and in other
words this event is different from other group.
7.4 THREATS
The threats that we might face from this event are permission from PPIB.
This is because we thought maybe some group will be denying our location and
space when we have confirmations from PPIB.

Beside that vandalism from students and weather that will affect the
performance of our event just like when heavy rain and wind occur. Vandalism
from student will be affecting our project. This is may cause us to spend more
cost to set up the props like usual.
8.0 CONCLUSION
We really hope that this event will be held as we plan. We are putting
warning or caution to the customer that wants to come must have not heart
disease, not pregnant, not below age 12 because it could cause phobia. This is
because our group will not responsible to anyone who has that problem. As a
precaution we put this mention in our advertisement to tell our future customers.
We also provide a supplementary service such as box service for
customer’s bag to make sure their belongings will be save under our custody at
the time they enter the Ghost House.
A good entrepreneur is can take a risk and make it as the opportunity as
well. We try to apply what we learn. Put the full of commitment for anything we
responsible. This is the time to change and learn a real life when we come out to
real market. We have a second choice when we fail to get what we want. APK will
be changing our life especially doing business or enter the business market.
