PROPAK, RePAKCombined Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis SystemsEasy solutions for difficult-to-treat water
PROPAK
RePAK
What GE offersGE offers the broadest portfolio of water and process technologies, including: separation equipment; membrane and filtration
technology; monitoring solutions; analytical instruments; specialty chemicals; mobile water capabilities; service; and financing. We
focus on difficult-to-treat water and wastewater, and implementing water reuse solutions to provide customers with the quantity
and quality of water they need for their applications.
The PROPAK and RePAK systems combine GE’s vast technical experience in ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) into an
integrated UF and RO platform. Each system has its unique purpose: the PROPAK provides high quality water from high variability
surface water and the RePAK provides tertiary wastewater reuse.
ZeeWeed* 1500 UF—experienced evolutionVersatile and reliable, the pressurized ZeeWeed 1500 module is ideally
suited for use in numerous applications, including water treatment, tertiary
filtration and pretreatment for brackish and seawater desalination.
ZeeWeed 1500 is ideal for pretreatment for RO systems.

PROPAK and RePAK BenefitsBy integrating the core UF and RO technologies as one solution, our customers realize many benefits including:
• Clear operator access for maintenance. Designed to allow operators clear access to
membranes, cartridge filters, pumps, valves and sensors for easy
scheduled maintenance.
• 35% reduction of footprint. The integrated UF/RO
systemwithasingletankforCIP,back-pulseand
break provides a 35% smaller footprint compared to
using traditional UF, RO and tank skids.
• 10% reduction in installation costs. Your cost to
install the PROPAK or RePAK is reduced compared to
traditional UF and RO systems because of a reduction
in interconnecting piping, pre-engineered skid footprints and
connection points, and a pre-integrated control package.
• GE spiral wound membranes.Withover40yearsexperienceinmakingflatsheetmembrane
modules, GE manufactures membranes with an average rejection of 99.0% to 99.5% of salts for high quality
product water. While RePAK uses GE PRO RO membranes, RePAK uses GE’s low fouling membranes to handle
the more turbid feedwater conditions.
• One integrated control system. With a full suite of monitoring capabilities, the Central PLC control offers
full monitoring instrumentation and Ethernet connectivity.
• Patented depth filters for superior membrane protection. GE filters’ pure polypropylene
construction ensures consistent results, trapping particles throughout its depth.
• Multi-stage pump for reliable operation. PROPAK features
theASSeriesTonkaflo*pump,whichisamulti-stage
centrifugal pump with an all stainless steel liquid end
mounted on a high thrust bearing frame for superior
performance. RePAK features Grundfos pumps to meet
the required pressure of wastewater treatment.
• UF integrity test. Clear PVC tubing at each ZeeWeed
1500 module allows for visual verification of the
automated integrity test and discrete identification of
specific fiber breakage within a module via a bubble test.
• ZeeWeed 1500 UF modules. Low-fouling PVDF membrane
chemistry requiring less frequent and less aggressive cleaning,
outside-in filtration process providing uniform low distribution and solids
loadingwithnoblockfibers,UFbarriertoproducehighqualityeffluent,highsolids
tolerance capable of handling high turbidity spikes and coagulant doses.
• Robust frame design and construction.SeismicZone4designedframewithliftinglugs
and anti-torque supports for frame integrity.
