How to do it?
1
st Step Making of the river: we are cutting off the
expanded polystyrene with the knife. Then we are
painting it with varied nuances of blue, reminiscent the
colors of the river. When the paint dries we are gluing
the sand dunes.
2nd
Step Making of the ships: we are cutting off the
empty box of fruit juice longitudinal and the
paper box of eggs with knife. So we are forming the
hulls of the ships. We are gluing them on the expanded
polystyrene. Then we are reeling the sheets of the
color magazines on the straws. We are gluing the
straws on the box of fruit juice. Then we are piercing
the boxes with the wooden sticks. So we are making
the masts and the oars. To make the sails we are using
toilet paper, colored paper, nylon pouches and wooden
sticks. We are cutting of them with the
adapted scissors. Finally we are gluing the sails on the
ships.
3rd
Step Decorating the model: we are putting the little
plastic figures on the suitable places so they are
becoming characters in a scene.

How to do it?
1.Soak some of the newspaper in water (it’s better if
you let it to set for a day or two).
2.Squeeze out the excess water.
3. With the mortar and pestle, crush a little bit of paper
at a time until you get a homogeneous paste, consisting
of fibers isolated from each other. Repeat this until you
have enough paste.
4. Fill the bowl halfway with water.
5. Put the paper paste in the bowl and stir it to separate
the fibers.
6. Remove any resulting clumps (a dense suspension of
fibers must remain in the water).
7. Immerse the frame in the watery suspension in the
bowl (the sieve should be facing the bottom of the
bowl).
8. Slowly remove the frame from the suspension
keeping it steadily horizontal; eventually move the
frame to even out the layer of fibers - wait for the water
to drain.
9. Place the smooth side of a sheet of Formica on top of
the sheet of paper still soaked with water.
10. Press on the Formica a little to drain the water,
taking care not to deform the sieve.
11. With a sponge, collect water from underneath and
squeeze it away every so often.
12. Carefully remove the sheet of Formica so that the
sheet of paper remains attached to it.
13. Let the sheet of paper dry. To do this more quickly,
you can dry it with a hairdryer, make other sheets of
paper, introducing to the suspension some grass
crushed in the mortar.
14. Optionally- later introduce some flower petals
(without crushing them).

How to do it?
1st The students of second cycle EP have a piece
of paper. The only guidance given to them is
that we create an element of Africa to build
together. Orally give suggestions about what
happens to them, their homes, animals,
vegetation, people ... They provide data that
have been learning about Africa's needs, but also
its wealth.
2nd We give them toothpicks, glue and crayons.
3rd Each child constructs his idea with
toohpicks. They glue and paint it.
4th Among all on a silhouette of Africa held on
paper, In this map, we put their works of art.

How to do it?
1. Students must separate the two parts having
the wooden pegs.
2. Different parts of the buildings are built
separately.
3. After completion of the towers and walls
should be to unite all.
4. They must also prepare balls of colored
paper to create the windows.
We talked about our city, León, and its important
monuments. Due to it, we decided to make a
model of the cathedral and other important
building (Botines, designed by Gaudi) with pegs.
So the rest of Comenius participants learn a little
more Leon.
We have enjoyed carrying out this activity and
we hope you will like it!

How to do it? Step 1 To Prepare The Pure Water: This is first and the most
important point of marbling art. Because if you can t catch the
right consistency, your painting won t float on water. You have to
add 3 teaspoon gum tragacanth in to 2 liter pure water .Gum
tragacanth gives the water a special intensivity Then you have to
mix the water till gum get melting complately. (You have to
leave the water to rest 24 hours) And next day your pure water
will be ready to make marbling art…
Step 2 To Make Ready Bucket: Second day, you will realize that
the pure water really more intensive than yesterday. So you can
put it in to the bucket as you seen on photo…But there musnt be
any bubble on face of water. ıt looks like hair gel, isnt it?
As you seen the pure water is ready to paint on it…By the way, to
paint it the brush is not normal brush. It s maden by rosewood &
horse hairs…(Horse hairs don t keep tightly the colours so it
provides you dancing on water face with colours…)
Step 3 To Paint On Pure Water: You have to use the paint brush
as you seen on photo. You have to rap the brush on your sign
finger. You can use how many different colour you want to
use.You can draw what ever you want on water by using the
nail…Figures, flowers, self-portre etc…
Step 4 To Put The Paper On Water: You have to put the paper on
water slowly… And you have to be sure that the paper is really
covered the all face of water…You can make a little press with
your finger to paper.
Step 5 To Take The Paper: Also you have to be carefull when
you take the paper on water. Firstly you can keep the corner side
of paper and keep tightly and take the paper to yourself
And you have to leave it to dry… You can hang it on the wall or
you can cover a book or you can cover your all wall with it…
Also you can use it as a background for a photo…

How to do it?
STEP 1 - Putting The Carbon Paper and Figure/Design
on Plywood: To make it, first of all, you should take the plywood
and put carbon paper on it, but you need to be carefull about that
the carbon paper shouldn’t movie while you are drawing the
figure or design on plywood, so you can use a friction tape to
solve this problem.
STEP 2–Drawing The Figure/Design on The Plywood:
And then, you should follow the figure’s line to transfer same
apperience on plywood by using carbon paper and pencil. You
can draw what you want to draw on plywood. It depends on your
creativity The figure which below is for a napkin holder…As
you seen, the same figure has transferred on plywood, so it s
ready to be cut by fret saw
STEP 3 – Cutting the Plywood by Using Fretsaw: To cut
the plywood firstly, you should put the blade of it tightly. And
then, you can begin to cut the plywood by following the line’s of
design… However, you should be carefull while you are cutting
it, because it is so thin and you can break it easily.
STEP 4 – Sanding The Cutted Design
STEP 5 – Painting The Sanded Design by Using Wood
Paints: After sanding and painting process, the plywood design’s
result apperience is really elegant style.
STEP 6 – Glueing / Pasting The Design Together: Now
you can put some napkin in it…And your napkin holder is ready
and waiting for you to use it

How to do it?
1. We are measuring the frame. Then we are
delineating the frame’s sizes on the sheet of
cardboard and we are cutting of on the outline.
2. We are drawing composition „Horo” on the
cardboard. Then we are coping with carbon paper
the components of the composition on others
sheets of cardboard and we are cutting of them.
We are numbering each of the components
(modules).
3. We are cutting out the pieces of cloth. Then we
are drawing sketches of the aprons. We are making
the textile elements of the dresses and then we are
gluing them on the modules. We are preparing the
ornamental thread and then we are assembling
the modules.
4. We are lining fabric for the base. We are cutting
the fabric on the outline and we are gluing it on the
frame. Finally we are assembling and gluing the
composition.

How to do it?
1. We are making the base: cutting the thread and threading
the needle; the thread has to pass through all holes of the
loom twice. So we are receiving healthy and tight base for
the weaving.
2. Winding the yarns on the shuttles: we need to select tree
varied colors of the yarn and we have to wind them on the
shuttles.
3. We are starting the weaving. The shuttles have to pass
between the threads of the base. We are pressing every new
row by the previous. The woven cloth must be not much
tight, but not much flabby. We are using our imagination to
changing the three colors. We are rolling the woven part bit
by bit.
3. Removing the woven cloth of the loom: when we reach to
the middle of the loom we have to stop the weaving. We are
cutting of the base’s threads carefully and removing the
woven cloth out of the loom. Then we are binding the base’s
threads on the one side, so we are making fringes. On the
other side we are rolling the woven cloth around the stick and
we are gluing it.
4. We are decorating the woven cloth with varied colors
beads as desire. We could sew them on the cloth or we could
string them to the fringes.
5. Making the tab: we are plaiting some of the yarn and then
we are binding the plait into the two ends of the stick.

How to do it?
1. Make an incision in the front of the sock leg to form the long
ears for your rabbit. Then finish the ears thinner and sharper on
the top.
2. Stuff the sock with infilling to give the shape for the body and
the head of your rabbit.
3. Seam the sock leg on the top of the rabbit’s head.
4. Insert the basting into the sock above the rabbit’s neck, needle
it around the neck of the rabbit-to-be and then pull it to tighten
the basting – thereby, the neck will be properly formed out.
5. Needle the margins of the rabbit’s paws through the body, pay
attention to the paws to be of a size – both paws should be of a
same length and thickness.
6. Now do the same with the legs – needle the margins.
7. Adjust and needle buttons for eyes and nose, cut out small
pieces of yarn for the moustache (whiskers).
8. Prepare a fluffy tail for the rabbit (cut out of cardboard two
identical circles which have a small hole in the middle of both
of them).
9. Scroll the yarn around those circles, so that the hole in the
middle would be filled.
10. Cut through the yarns in the middle of the limbs (outer borders)
of the cardboards, bring the supporting yarn between the
cardboards and bind it up strongly, remove the cardboards.
Even out the tuft with scissors and affix it in the right place on
the back of the rabbit.

How to do it?
1. Cut out 12 pentagrams of the cloth
2. Sew together 6 pentagrams, then you’ll get
the first half of the ball
3. Sew together last 6 pentagrams, so you’ll get
the other half of the ball
4. Connect both sides of the ball by leaving a
small gap for inverting and stuffing the ball
5. Sew the gap together
Commentary:
You may put something clinking into the ball, for
example an Easter egg filled with peas (e.g the little

1st step: wet the fabric with clean water before painting,
so you it encourage colors to flow into each other like
in a watercolor.
2nd
step: draw the design with pencil. You can draw
spirals, geometric lines; then cut and refine with sharp
scissors.
3rd
step: paint fabric following the drawn lines. Use a
jam jar with some water for washing your brush
regularly as you are painting, a roll of paper towel to
hand for wiping excess water and unwanted paint from
brush.
4th
step: sprinkle glitter into wet paint. Let it dry for 24-

How to do it?
The team teachers for the Comenius project
thought of a cloth activity which could show
different typical aspects and elements of the
Spanish culture to the rest of the participants. A
big map of Spain was drown and coloured by the
children.
Afterwards, several drawing representing special
features of the Spanish culture, were produced in
paper, such as the “Sacred Family” of Barcelona,
Roman bridges, the pilgrim’s shell from the “Way
to Santiago”, the “paella” from Valencia, a
bullfighting ring and a bull and, finally, a wind-
mill from La Mancha.
Children were asked to bring pieces of cloth. All
the children willingly participated in these
activities.
Children joined together in groups of 5 or 6, cut
pieces of cloths and stuck them on the previously
prepared papers, already decorated with wax-
pencils

second ball and putting it on the first. We are
rolling out again and we are greasing with
butter. Then we are sprinkling with white
brined cheese. We are making a hole in the
middle of the dough sheet and we are rolling
into periphery. We are making a ring and we
are cutting off, rolling and putting it in greasing
large baking dish. We are repeating the same
activities for the other balls.
When the cheese pasty is orderly in the
large baking dish, we are greasing it with butter
and we are leaving it to rise. Then we are

Step 1 – You can begin to measure the thick
metal wire to create of the body part of tree.
It depends on your choice. If you want to
make a big tree, you can measure big
one…(We did it 60 cm…) After measuring,
you can cut the thick metal wires. You can
get 8 of them to twist.
Step 2 – Then you can twist the metal wire.
You s hould keep it in your hand tightly. If
you don t do this, it could be unestetic…
Step 3 – Now you can begin to create small
branch of the tree. You should use thin
metal wire for them. Get the ruler and
measure it as 30cm…Then cut it…After
cutting, get in to the wire of plastic leaf and
white beads. Then they make totaly 20 little
branch for tree…
Step 4 – Well you can add the little branch
which you created on body of tree…Just
imagine your tree and try to give a shape of
it… That is all

Step 1 – You should cut the textile after measuring, to
cover enough the poplar wood…(Poplar wood is best, to
pound the nails)
Step 2 –Then you should put the poplar wood on the
textile to cover all face of it…There is an important point,
the textile should be as tight as you can…For this reason
you should pound the nails back side of the polar wood.
Step 3 – On this step you should put the carbon paper on
poplar wood, which is tightly covered by textile, to draw
the ‘whirling dervish’ esign…But there is another
important point, the carbon paper’s colour and textile
colour should be different… On contrary you can’t see
clearly the design on textile…You should draw by
following the line of design by using a pen…After this
process you will get a ready design to pound nails.
Step 4 – Then you can begin to pound the nails on design
by following the line…all nails distance and hight should
be equal…
Step 5 – After pounding all the nails on design, you
should take the metal wire and tie a knot on the nail
which is taking place in the middle point of design…You
should begin from middle part of desing to create
form…And you should wrap the metal wire the nail
which is opposite of each nail…It should be wraped
crossly…You should follow the same way to create
‘whirling dervish’ design…

1. Making of the base: we are
closuring the zipper with big plastic
teeth only at the top. So its two sides
are free. Then we are bending each
of the sides in wavy form from the
free and. We have to receive orifice
in the middle of the zipper. Finally
we are gluing and fixing this form
with silicon.
2. Decorating of the base: we are
cutting the zipper with small plastic
teeth into eight pieces (5 cm). Then
we are rolling and forming like roses
each of the pieces. We are fixing
their forms with silicon. Finally we
are gluing the roses with silicon on
the big zipper.

How to do it?
1st Step: Prepare a sketch of what you chose
to reproduce or, as we did, get a color print
of the chosen image.
2nd
Step: Sort your buttons. For our design
we followed the colors of the original
painting by Modigliani, so we used rose for
the skin, brown for the hair, nacreous for the
glove, black for the hat or bronze for the
brim. Eyes are made of ribbon.
3rd
Step: Warm up the glue gun and begin to
glue. Appling buttons is funny but also
challenging to do. Think of the work as a
coloring sheet, only you are using buttons to
fill in the design.
4th
Step: Pull any loose, stringy “hairs” that
the glue gun might have left behind.

Each child will have a hairpin and six
buttons.
Each one chooses the buttons colour to
combine them according to their taste and
create their own hairpin.
After selecting the button, they spread
some glue on the hairpin and stick the
buttons one beside the other.
To prevent the hairpin from getting stuck
with the glue during the process, a small
piece of cardboard should be placed in
the middle.
After all buttons are stuck to the hairpin,

How to do it?
Before we start the actual weaving, we should
learn a few basic concepts. Pedig always have before
knitting a few minutes to soak in water. Just as we
constantly knitting during soaking unfinished product
(but we care not to unnecessarily plywood bottom).
Water should be lukewarm to us .Each basket
consists of three parts: braid bottom warp rods (or
own production floor) string (knit two, three, four
bars ..) closure of warp beams So now what to do
(production cart with solid plywood bottom). Prepare
the warp rods. These are the rods that are sticking out
from the bottom up and we create around them .
Warp beams should have the same length. Here we
determine by a simple formula: required amount of
trash + 5-8 cm at the bottom of braid + 20 cm at
roadblock (If we wanted to weave a complex
roadblock, I prefer to still add 10 cm) Rods must be
cut as much as we holes in the bottom. The ends of
the rods the tip, we will work with them better. While
we watch the weaving, warp rods to keep straight. If
you want to Basket either widened or narrowed, we
start in this direction warp and bend rods. The change
is apparent to us after about two to three rows.
Spokes always will end at the same place as we
started (braided into a spiral, so that otherwise would
be on one side of the basket higher). Roadblock
properly tightened, the ends are nicely kept. After
drying rack (next day) commandments projecting
rods and paint the basket.

How to do it?
First of all, we started with a brainstorm and
the children gave their ideas about what they
could do using these materials.
They suggested some different things like
deserts, the beach,...
So we decided to do three different things.
One group made a beach, the other group
made a desert and the last group made a forest.
Each group had their own materials and they
had just one hour to do it.
Finally they finished their work satisfactorily.
They enjoyed the activity a lot and they did a
good job.

Step 1 – Creating A Circle : At the beginning
of door decoration, you have to create a circle as
big as you want… For this you need a flexible
brance of pine tree…You need to give a circle
shape then rope it tightly…
Step 2 – Adding Green Branch to Circle: Then
you need the green branches of the pine to make
bigger your circle…To do it you have to add the
green branch of pine on your circle and you need
to twist it…Also you have to use the green rope
to wrap up the branches. You need to twist the
branches and wrap up by using the rope…
Step 3 – Putting The Pinecone on Circle: On
this step you need to put or rope the pinecone on
the circle by using the green coloured rope… If
you interspace between each of pinecone, it will
be better to add flowers…
Step 4 – Adding The Flowers: After putting the
pinecone by interspacing, you need to add the
flowers which you want to use…Our choices are
camomile and carnation flowers And then you
