    Mouse

Functions as a pointing device by detecting

    2-dimentional motion relative to its

    supporting surface.

Can be used only with GUI based O.S.

    Eg.Windows

    Used to navigate, open/close files,websites.

Main goal is to translate the motion of our

hand into signals that the computet can use.

    SCANNER

Used to copy pictures or other things and save

them as files on the computer.

A light moves slowly over the surface of thepicture or the object to be scanned.

    WEBCAM

Mostly used during long distance chatting.

Webcams typically include a lens, an image

sensor, and some support electronics . Video chat is a good example of positive use.
