Project Management Process for a Project
• Ensures effective flow of the project through out its existence
• These processes encompasses the tools and techniques involved in applying skills and capabilities in the knowledge areas
• Project Managers and their teams should carefully address each process and its constituent inputs and outputs
Process Groups• Initiating process group

Initiating process group• Define a new project or a new phase of an
existing project by obtaining authorization to start the project or phase
• Initial scope is defined and initial financial resources are committed
• Internal and external stake holders identified
• Includes the following project mgt processes

– Identify Stake Holders

Develop Project charter: Is a process of developing a document that formally authorizes a project or phase and documenting initial requirements that satisfy stakeholders need and expectations
