Student FeedbackProject Management
Salford Business School 2009
10
Student FeedbackCurrent students on the programme have said;
I have specialised in engineering and wantedto widen my understanding of business andthe way projects are seen by managers ratherthan by technical experts. I see this course as away of broadening my understanding of theworld of business whilst not travelling too farfrom my original discipline.
I have a background in law and wanted togain specific technical skills in projects andtheir management. I think the MSc will helpme to develop an impressive CV that shows I
have multiple skills and specific knowledgethat can be applied to practically any contextof work.
I want to work in the Non-GovernmentalOrganisation sector, particularly in overseasdevelopment. The whole system of applyingfor funding, developing plans andimplementing development schemes is now
project based. A comprehensive knowledge ofthe tools, approaches and ideas of projectmanagement is now taken-for-granted byfunding and development agencies, so I haveto become aware of this if I am to succeed inmy intended career. This course will give themeans to build a future in the area I am mostinterested in working.
